That Firebird was a car. Turn that motor over and it did not purr...it rumbled. It was the street machine, were I grew in MI. A Friday/Saturday night without a Bird and Camero face off on the streets was a dull night.
Yes, kind of. My dad always had a pontiac..He named his cars. One was the green hornet, another was the black bomber... He tried to teach me to drive in one, but he was so hyper, I always ended up crying and almost took down a stop sign one day.

If you would have scratched that car.....I bet he would have smiled and said not a word. That is the way Dads are. Till you were out of sight. Then he would bit his knuckle to keep from screaming.
lion131: pontiac has bowed out.were you a fan of their cars?
I've had several Pontiacs, my favorite being a '50 2 door sedan, straight 8, automatic, with 62,00 miles on it. I'm not sad to see them go, they haven't built anything worth mentioning in several decades, but then again, none of the big three have, save a few models.

I had a pontiac grand am..loved that car..so much that I took it back to Germany with me and had it fixed so it would meet the specs here..it was the most reliable car I ever had..I bought it in Oct. 94 (95 model) v6 3,1 liter..not one break down,,nothing ever went wrong..only needed a new muffler..I did have to get rid of it this year though becauses of the high tax and insurance..she was my baby and I dearly miss her..
Anyone see that hardtop convertible Pontiac made? GSE or something like that? They did it in 2003 t0 2007 I think. It was a hard top convertible. I lot drove it. It handled nice. Interior was nice. Was leather with all the power toys. Not sure if the hard top leaked or not. The common complaint of soft top convertibles.
For Florida.....beach, sun, wind, top down in the summer and top up in winter. She asks if can I play with your power toys, I say SUREm you can! ....... She turns on the radio and moves the electric seat back......

I had that same feeling about a green/gold 1967 fast back Mustang. I had a German mechanic tuning it and could balance a quarter on it edge on the hood. Was my first car out of college. My baby and play thing. It got me were I need to go. And if it could not go, I did not need to be there.
My suggestion consider a new adoption application soon as possible when taxes and insurance will permit.
