Hi Erik,
From my perspective I think you make some valid good points.

Yes without a doubt God however you perceive him is good.

Scientists but not all will rarely agree that there is a God as they themselves think they are God.

From my perspective there is a lot of truth in the bible of actual events and people and yet there is also alot that has been misinterpreted and taken literally.

From my perspective the bible is the equivalent to a modern day journal written by different people which in itself teaches us that two people can look at the same object or experience the same event yet because each is an individual each will interpret what they see or experience differently depending on their level of conscienceness.

Sadly people use the bible as they do religion as a skirt to hide behind which was never what it was intended for..

Both . I think there are some aspects of archaeology that do support it , as well as refute it .For example, places mentioned in the Bible have been found , but the stories surrounding those areas aren't necessarily true.
