IDK, really. I did that in my marriage and I think it was detrimental over the long term, but it was not the job that was the problem it was more that my ex did not often choose to spend what free time he had with me
so eventually I found other hobbies and they didn't really include him - the harder we tried to work that out it seems the further we grew apart - hence my motto that if you have to "work" on a relationship, it is already over
