There was some research I read a fair while ago about something similar.
In studying plane crashes and sinking ships a group found (figures may not be precise but as best as I can recall) that under conditions of severe duress about %25 of people are pro-active in finding a solution, around %55 will follow decisions made and twenty percent will just be frozen with fear. It didn't go into personality types or character traits though.
I find when I'm playing the guitar time stops and I'm transported to a place where everything is alright in the world. It brings me comfort I guess. To not need nothing more than the instrument and just being in the moment is kind of a therapy in a way.
Hi there funlaugh - I think there will probably be a few "on here" answers for Friday night. I think we should all make dancing with someone other than ex's or family members a goal as well.
Ariel - You are another gifted with the look of youth. Your most recent photo actually has you looking younger than normal. I'm going to look at your profile as I believe you are in asthetic regress - or something like that. You seem to have reversed aging, I mean.
Yeah lachi - Not far at all. It's some time since I've been there and things may have changed in the town itself, but the caves close by and the little valley it is in is pretty. Great food there as well.
Choco - some may be a little envious of your,um, increased proportions, but I do understand the loss of energy with age. maybe we need to be more active as we age.
Hi Amalia - Having spent some time in Asia I have noticed some cultures do place more responsibility on children than others perhaps and as a consequence, in certain ways, these children grow up well before their time. I guess there has to be a balance though, like everything. A little partying and exploring should be alright when you are young. Lord knows your body makes it harder as you get older to do those things.
North Thailand is great, I think you'll love it. A little place called Pai in the North I really like. Hard to beat the southern island beaches though.
Hi Jules - If I could have an age in which to relive, I think it would be thirty or thirty something. Ah, good times. Old enough to know some things but young enough to ignore them if I chose.
Living in developing countries can be challenging to say the least, but these countries also offer a great deal for the individual to learn if the person has an inclination to do so.
I really enjoyed Robert Heinlein's Stranger in a Strange Land, a bit of classic SciFi.
