avias I take in pets but only one or two at a time...Emmy does not like any other cat here at home...but before her I had two sister black cats and they were with me for almost 15 years before their death...

avias I love black cats...I make a point of rescuing black cats due to people not wanting them...seems many prefer other coloured cats...perhaps this is due to superstitions...my cat Emmy is not bad luck...she is a good companion...
lind I do find it troubling when we see so much excessive behaviour on TV...more into having things...superficial items than being a thoughtful citizen concerned about the world we inhabit...perhaps there will be a shift in thinking now that our economy is suffering...
amorn Nothing like a day at the spa...might be boring to some but I feel better as a result...after working so hard at the hospital...looking after people does take its toll on me!!
lind Third world hunger is a problem but instead of giving food to people which should be a short term measure...I would like to see more programs designed to help them with setting up farming practices including irrigation and digging wells for fresh water...education and health care is also a key component when dealing with population control and disease management...
lind Here in Vancouver...there are a lot of bakeries and produce stores that give food away to local shelters or other organizations to feed the homeless or people with limited incomes...and I have heard such organizations in USA who do the same thing...perhaps the governments should promote such donations to ease the struggles of people who cannot afford to feed their families...and prevent good food being thrown away...
soc I think for most it is the luck of the draw...not saying that we cannot learn from our experiences and find a greater meaning about life...self actualization can happen even in the most dire circumstances...
crazy I went to a live concert in Vietnam and they played both in English and Vietnamese...good music no matter if you don't understand the lyrics...good fun dancing...it was New Year Tet celebration...lots of fun!!
