Thanks to everyone who took time out to comment on this blog...perhaps this new government in Canada will sort out the disparity between non Natives and First Nations people...stay tuned...
Track We must all believe that improvements must be made...but the only sure way is voting for policy that will aid others or at least petition big companies that decide to ignore the have nots ...or the voiceless...our environment matters as well as the way of life that our ancestors practice...
Track We have to have a balance of both...companies for profit and people looking out for the people or environments...a balance needs to take place...but what bothers me is that the Aboriginal people do not get a fair deal at the business end of it...so much poverty it seems like we are exploiting their naivety/kindness again...we need advocates for these people...including advocates for the environment concerning future projects...exploiting the environment and the people who live off it do not see the problems because they are so far removed from the situation...they do not live there or care about the people...
Pedal Well thanks for the compliment...some may see me as a socialist but I want all people to succeed if possible...create an environment of equality and do not hide from past mistakes...how else will we learn from them...again thank-you...
mic Glad to hear you do not need prescriptions...nor Tylenol...I personally like Advil...sometimes I do ache from the work I do...but otherwise opiate naive...I like to change my eating habits or find foods that will aid in the problems not take pills...just a little wine from time to time...nothing wrong with a little vice...

Our history not unlike yours is filled with disputes and mistrust...colonization was not a good idea for Aboriginals...it harmed them deeply...hope we can correct the wrong and for the First Nations to finally heal...
Dream If you look at the stats from the original blog clip...it appears we Canadians need to hear the plight of the First Nations people...no doubt it happens everywhere but Canada has wealth that needs to disperse to these Aboriginals...
Cal In that context...meeting in a public place would be fitting...or talking on the phone or chatting on line...if it is out of your comfort zone...sometimes people forget that women have more to lose...
Abby I do not think it is appropriate for you to go into his FB account...but I do understand your feelings...if you got a whiff of deceit...you should be able to ask questions...but clearly he has done this before...and if you are not comfortable with him continuing to talk through FB with his ex...it should have been a light bulb moment for you...

The grandparents had to work with the ex girl friend in order to keep in contact with Zachary...although grandparents have no rights to the child...if she did get extradited to the US...the couple would have formally adopted him...that was their wish...
pedal Yes it is sad news indeed...there was a B.C. man charged here for killing his children...he was going to be let out on a day pass...it got overturned...too many people completely in disgust and shock to here of that decision...all we can do is protest and try to reform the system...
unla It is a serious flaw in the system that allowed this to happen...not just about a mentally ill woman but the whole system in place failed...children need more protection...
Thanks for your comment...I saw this documentary on Netflix...and found it on You Tube...wanted to post this as it seems odd that the Canadian Provincial government decided that the girlfriend was suitable to care for her child...and granted her release until they came to a decision to return her to the US...for the murder of her boyfriend...heartbreaking...
lind Yes very sad...preventable based on the fact that she was free to raise her son when she was out on bail...she clearly wasn't fit to be a mother...she killed her child...leaving the grandparents with another death to grieve...
