If you have a chemistry with someone on the net then it is important to meet at an early stage just to make sure what you feel in writing is what you feel in person. Net relationships are not enduring as there is no physical presence or emotion.
Another thought… As Australia will be the first time zone to pass midnight do you think their world will end before ours in Europe, because if that is so I’m getting straight into that relaxing spa bath!!
I had a long distance romance with a woman in the States, lasted quite a while (phone calls, mails etc), twice I was on the verge of booking a ticket to go and see her, unfortunately both times we had an argument beforehand so I didn’t go.
As for dating different nationalities, I’ve either been out with or lived with several women of foreign nationality, at the end of the day women are women regardless of what language they speak or culture they come from, however having said that I thought that French women were the most disagreeable.
I’ve seen a few profiles where women have posted a photo whilst having a bad hair day however the most frustrating pictures are the small ones that are out of focus
Men kind of stick out when lurking around a women’s shops don’t you think? As for restaurant bars well Mc Donald’s and Pizza hut don’t have them, In the park that’s great except there are no community parks where I live (beach is better!), Coffee shops are always full of couples. Best friends…. What friends, Oh well! So much for your good ideas anybody got any others that might be useful otherwise its back to the loud music and shouting. Almost forgot there is always CS which leads me to inquire if your suggestions are so hot what the hell are you doing here!!??
I believe it is possible to become emotionally attached to a person through chatting I had it happen to me once were a woman told me she wanted more than just to chat as she had become emotionally attached to me however it fell apart as over a period of six months we delved deeper into each others personality finally she decided I was not what she was looking for and terminated the relationship. For what it is worth I would suggest you work towards a meeting as soon as possible otherwise you both risk writing something the other does not want to read.
Swordfish… Although the weather is better here I miss the Bournemouth area it was always full of life with interesting people good restaurants and bars… Make the most of it!
I’d offer the ticket to someone else as I have been everywhere and seen everything. Here I can sunbathe on the beach in the morning, have lunch in a wine cave, ski down the volcano early afternoon, see landscapes that were used in the film Clash of the Titans, take a boat trip late afternoon to watch the whales and dolphins then in the evening have diner overlooking illuminated fountains…. Wonderful!
Swordfish thank you for what you said… lived in Bournemouth for a couple of years late 90’s had a sandwich shop in an arcade there and lived in Talbot village, also had a flat in lower Parkstone for 20+ years… nice place.
