crazylace and sorry that you have had to go through this.... I had sort of an enlightening experience with a guy I met in the real world and had been working with for almost 2 years before he started the hunting..... all in him turned to be a real lie.... gosh... got me some time to recover ... at least he didn't get my money .... although he tried

hey, big thanks to everyone! Is really great to know different opinions and points of view, is part of the richness of friendship!

Still believe from here that the word "single" refers to a status rather than to an state of whether you should be considered available or not The choice to be or remain single is a personal choice and has nothing really to do with whether you are available or must be put in the box: looking for someone else!

I would consider Connecting singles as a lovely place where other singles - whether they are looking or not- separated, divorced or widowed are able to interact and connect with other singles - whether they are looking or not- separated, divorced or widowed seeking to build connections. Individual expectations are something different and guess, perhaps I'm wrong, don't have anything to do with the status either!

What about if we change the name of the site? Any suggestions?
