Hi Marshmallowgirl, Nicole Kidman horror star, "I don't think so", maybe she may have appeared in one but not usually associated with the horror genre, I will tell you what I know of her she has done a few movies, Bewitched- Remake) and started in the 1980's with 'BMX Bandits', she is Australian and I think she was in tvs 'The Henderson Kids'(1984) she did a blockbuster movie 'Australia' just recently, that's about it. all the best to you. Kariena, Welcome back to yet another blog, Movie & TV reference books can supply lots of credits information and are also very interesting to read. 'The Ghost Ship' has had a few versions in the late 1930's, 1970's and one in the 2000s, and plenty on the same theme, I believe the first version of 'Ghost Ship' was British and directed by Val Lewton, the actors escape me, lewton did a few of these atmospheric thrillers in the late 1930's. I also think Melissa George appeared in the 2000 version of this film. all the best. John
Hi Happy369, If you have seen these horror films, you might try getting a Movie/TV reference book from the libraby/Bookshop, it will list a lot of movie mames and stars, TV book similar idea. The old Universal B&W horror films had the likes of Bela Logosi (Dracula) Boris Karloff (Frankenstein monster and many others)Lon Chaney jr. (Wolf Man) Glenn Strange(Frankenstein monster) and Tom Tyler(Mummy in The Mummy's Hand). Thank You for your comments. John
Hi Ken19, Thanks for joining my blog a second time, I thought I would write about the serials but I don't mind including other nostalgia too, Hoppalong Cassidy was a favourite, as was Gene Autry, Tex Ritter, and many other cowboy greats and surprisingly George 'Gabby' Hayes was partner to many people including Roy Rogers and of course Hoppalong Cassidy, who also had a tv series as did Roy Rogers and Gene Autry (Flying A Productions) Gene Autry show/Range Rider/Buffalo Bill Jr./Annie Oakley and Champion the Wonder Horse. Do they ring a bell Ken, Hoppalong Cassidy was shot in the leg in an early western which supposedly gave him the limp and of course the name 'Hoppie'. Buck Rogers came to life a second time in 1979 (Gil Gerard) but we can't forget Buster Crabbe as the Sci Fi specialist Buck Rogers & Flash Gordon, he also appeared as an Olympic swimmer in the 1930's when he swam against Johnny Weismuller,(TVs Jungle Jim) both played Tarzan along with original Elmo Lincoln, Herman Brix and many others.

Hi Ken, Thank you so much for spending the time to tell me all this information, it was very good of you, if there is a buck to be made the government will find it, yet they can never balance their budgets, the two things just don't add up their logical thinking, and we elect these people into office, I just can't understand it, it would be like giving the controls of the space shuttle to a chimpanzee. oh well in time we may all get rid of the governments and the people can take charge and bring back some sanity to the world. all the best. Hi Kauriman, I thought there would be some secret agenda behind all this digital thing, in earlier times when Australia switched to dollars and cents (1966) they made a bundle then then later miles to kilometres in driving cars, well this is another money making racket for them, they would sell there own family if there was profit in it, they would probably make it legal to do so knowing them. thanks for your feed back. Hi Nozeal, I am glad you enjoy my poems/stories on CS Poet's Corner, I intend to stay on the blogs as it is a refreshing change to writing poetry all the time, I find it an interesting way to discuss poetry and other topics, I am always up to this type of feedback, I think out of the normal circles and am not afraid to tell it like it is, I dare to be different, and have been poked for this just recently. However it has not dampened my spirits. 'Life' was my very first poem back in 2000, I entered it in a poetry competition, it won best new poem, so it was a good start, I followed up with 'Governments' and finally 'The Ship In The Bottle', then I stopped but wrote 9 other poems to make into framed gifts for my friends. In 2012 I came to CS. I would love you to browse my poems and comment on them, it would be awe inspiring, many thanks. John
