-at that time, it was probably not much of a choise I guess... swim or get eradicated... dunno but just imagine the space... most people probably doesnt think much about how much water there are arround the world...
-like where I`m fishing, the dept is arround 100-200 meters deep...
just a few more miles out, and it drops down to 2000-3000 meters...

kind of scary just to think about it... laugh

last winter I came stright after two cars had hit a moose.. both guyes where lucky, no injuries... but the cars were compleetly wrecked...

-and still they had to surch for the poore animal who ran of... amasing.

-yeah, they specialize in different forms of hunting... up north they can dive under the ice and then break it to catch seals whos resting there...

theres a story going that the whale took a guy once by mistake... he was also hunting seals, laying on the ice...

-yeah, one time I saw a shadow under the boat that I thought was a codfish falling off the hook... then I got a strange feeling and looked over my shoulder, just in time to see this enourmous tale raising up right behind the boat.... uh oh

-also had orckas passing under, but they are smallfish compared with the one mentioned...laugh
