Aaaw im really sorry that your soending Christmas alone but on a positive note count all of your blessings..
Coming from a huge family myself I would welcome time alone lol
its so many meanful things you can do.
volunteer for a charity, feed the homeless, visit the elderly in a nursing home, just your time showing love to someone else is so rewarding. I hope you jyst take time and do something nice for yourself.

as a wise white man once said
"there is only 2 places where color doesn't matter and that is in the cradle and in the grave." Color shouldn't matter but the content of a persons character is what should be looked upon. we have wars going on and people that have real problems all over the world its sad so much negative energy is wasted on such meaningless things. Not to sound like the Beatles but "all you need is love". Lets put our life and energy on things that heal and really matters

In fact that is what i suggested but this is her first marriage and she wants to do the whole ceremony thing with family and friends but its just to short of a notice. I don't want her to be discouraged so I'm thinking maybe just the couple and maid of honor and best man do like you said at the jp and then go have a small dinner reception, champagne and wedding cake and maybe they can renew their vows at in a more formal wedding that can be planned in more timely manner for later. She wants the world with a bow in a few weeks and its hard to put together but will figure it out i guess.

Yes i totally agree
Our children today are more and more becoming a technology bred generation. With Texting ,and everything geared towards the cyber world our kids are becoming less socially interactive in person. Video games and computers and iphones forms of socialization and are different from former generations. I some instances it seems easier and safer but is the outcome going to be that our kids becoming more reclusive and less personal? Technology is great but as parents we need to set boundaries for them and encourage them to spend time living life outside of the cyber world . Its just the way it is these days
