RE: The Fledgling Nation of CS

Non dont't give Del the Statue job. He'd only end up doing a Christo and wrapping it.

Better give him a ministerial position in a far flung corner with hard questions such as thisconfused

So much activity here. I'm confused. What was the question and why are we here? Do you have any sandwiches?

RE: The best living place,UK,canada,USA or australia?

You'd need a ton of money to be able to afford to live here. Our property is among the most expensive in the world. And yes more expensive than London.

RE: The Fledgling Nation of CS

1 for ZMountains flag - that is epic

no for la la - for idealogical music reasons, as any music purist knows.....la la is filler

Alice tho is a possible second contender.

Third could be;

RE: The Fledgling Nation of CS

Ok I took your prescription. After several drinks I now vote for a looooooooooong Welsh name that has train in it as a. everyone likes trains and b. doesnt the longest Welsh word have a trainstation at it's core?

Weshmen where be ye?

Flag? Preferably something non flamable

RE: The Fledgling Nation of CS

sold on the anthem

I have brain freeze re the other two and can't offer a better suggestion. Clearly I need to drink morewine

Courage. Forza!

Patrick you make me laugh. From the standard grab bag of Grandpa quotes as its goes this one is very nice

RE: being single

Enchantress you are hilarious!rolling on the floor laughing

RE: being single

Love the cat one! I laughed so hard

Yes the double co-incidents of wants is the tricky bit. Mainlhy its im thinking of him, hes thinking of her, she's thinking of me...

Courage. Forza!

Del I agreebouquet

RE: Do you like countryside or city life?

lips Good luck with that. A goal that brings quality of life and increased happiness. ;-)

Courage. Forza!

yup. its an adult state of being. The point of life is to prepare one to meet their demise. Shrinkery helps some people realise this ;-)

But many live in fear of alone or seek supernatural parents

Adult is tough but a less illusory path.

Courage. Forza!

to me courage is the ordinary every day unrecognised courage. of the average woking Australian. Once I worked with a lady who had a 6 year old son who was undergoing Chemo treatment. She was quiet and stoic and just kept going and no one knew.
Too many stories like this of the un sung heroes

So I think courage is to just keep on going without hope and without things getting you down and just keep holding out and keeping on

Courage. Forza!

Lol. Cat that would qualify for a Darwin Awardrolling on the floor laughing

RE: Pension Day

ah yes we have a similar reverse problem here - we must pay up to a certain small percent of the population massive amounts of money

Courage. Forza!

Courage, Endurance, Altruism.

Hmmm nice list so far. Endurance I like. Reminds me of the 'hang in there kitty' pix ;-)

RE: Pension Day

Probably a naieve question but don't you have an ability to 'dob in' these people. We do in Australia

Mobile phone cameras and videos make it too easy to build up a bank of credible evidence of defrauding the state

RE: satisfaction

I can't get no satisfaction
I can't get no satisfaction
'Cause I try and I try and I try and I try
I can't get no, I can't get no

When I'm drivin' in my car
And that man comes on the radio
He's tellin' me more and more
About some useless information
Supposed to fire my imagination
I can't get no, oh no, no, no
Hey hey hey, that's what I say

Matchmaker

Ok...but I have to see your posts and patterns to get a feel

and then if someone could do same for me.....

great .....I like this game.

I need some help as so far I'm rubbish at going solo doing my own match makinghelp

RE: Do you like countryside or city life?

When I was young I loved living in Melbourne. Such a cool city

For my career I spent the last few years in Sydney and hated almost every minute of if

I've just been able to make one of my life goals come true and escaped to the country

Canberra is a tiny place with only 300 000 people but because they built the nations parliament here you have the best of city infrastructure in a ghost town wiht magnificent countryside all around.
And when life gets too boring with all the serentiy I just jump on a plane and can be anywhere I coose.

But I will never ever choose to live in Sydney or Melbourne again.

Russian Gulag Potato films waiting to happen

Yes it is pretty bloody clever hence it went viral and won Clemenger the award. Its what everyone secretly thinks about International film festivals ;-) and I love Geoffery Rush makes an appearance

RE: When Happiness is the only choice... :)

Great post as everyone else has said

Yup Happiness is a choice.

Hell is the special place created in our own minds by having the wrong thought processes.

Life is tough and things go wrong. The only defence is re wiring your mind and being happy anyway!

RE: Friends

because the existentialist angst posts would seem to indicate an underlying unresolved issue. Hence her post. And what I observe as well.

RE: Never tell your problems to anyone

Pretty much. And socially expected platitudes you will receive will change nothing. Whinge or don't whinge what will that change? Nada.
Plan for the worst, hope for the best and every challenge makes you stronger to cope with the next bigger problem. This is all.
This is not the socially expected fluffy response, but this is how I cope with things as an adult in an adult world.

RE: New language to me on this site?
