Well supposedly the windows xp we all know and love is going down. i to loved it. i have seen more recent not supported ones out there not for sale that can some what keep up with the business software to a minimum. but if i was you seeing how unless you can get your hands on a modded version of windows 8. i suggest you move up to windows 7 any edition. i would suggest business edition. but that's me...
as an IT guy i would hold on to your files folders pics and documents and back them up to hard disc like cds, or dvds, or blue ray. just because you back it up on the secure hard drive does not mean you will always remember the password 6 months from now when your looking for a funny photo of your family or what have you.
