Hi Sands, yes we sat down and discussed it. I've known him for 20+ years and we're good friends thankfully (not like I'm dealing with an unknown quantity!). He would never ask me to sell, and pointed out that as far as he's concerned it's my home for as long as I want to stay. But I also know he lives in a crumbling Victorian pile of a house which desperately needs renovation. I'd have a major guilt trip sitting on his inheritance while his walls fall down around his ears!
