Moving... for the 28th time....
So I'm packing... and thinking of all the places I've lived before. So I counted them up and shock, horror, this is the 28th move in 26 years!
When I think about it, there was always seemed to be a good reason for moving at the time... but now I'm starting to wonder if I'll ever stop. Although I am saying that YES this is definitely the LAST time!!
I have two sisters, both a lot older than me, who have only ever lived in two homes. Their childhood home and then the one they bought with their husbands. Do I envy them? NO! The thought of being in the same place for that long terrifies me....
Am I extreme in this? Is there anyone else out there that's done the same? Should I just buy a camper van and stop trying to settle? I'd appreciate your thoughts.....

I made my last move when I was 46, lost count how many times I moved before that, all were work related, however, when the choice was mine I choose to live in the sun, never regretted it.
Sometimes moving can be part of going for a new job, so not being tied down to a location is a big advantage.
I was living in 7 different places in the last 10 years and all I wanted was a home. I have that now and I'm looking forward to it, but I do know that it can be a problem with jobs in the future.
If YOU don't want to settle down simply don't. Best of luck with your move.
and I hate moving, there advantages in staying in one place
but maybe I just to lazy to keep moving around
I used to move a lot and that gets old so I guess I just stay where I am and take vacations. LOL and good luck with your move
I've also lost count of how many times I've moved. Mostly when I was a child and we were regularly evicted but I'm sad to say that I now feel very restless staying in the same place.
I have a buyer for my house but this time I don't feel I can manage the move. It makes me feel very insecure.
I have a friend who moved 8 times after her divorce than fell in love with her present home.
I would say, move while you're fit enough to tackle it as your clearly not happy where you are because you may not have it in you later.
I hope you'll find a place your are happy in. Everyone has different preferences and hopefully you can find something that fulfills the need of your son and yourself.
is warmer there/than Northern Germany
Come and live with me. I have a big house and I promise not to die on you.
The problem would be with our names being the same.
Should you ever need anyone to help you out with the food in your fridge, you have a willing ( more than willing actually ) volunteer here!!
PD. The nickname you've got it and is cool.
Hee Hee! This guy criticized me for alot of other things including my long hair. This guy was as square as a bear and he thought everyone should be like him. NO THANKS!!!!
