Travis, I hope you don't mind but I went ahead and took a look at your profile. You see sometimes the way you write and set up your profile can either help you or hurt you when it comes to getting a date. I am not about to tell you how to write your profile, that is your own choice. I will offer you some advice though. You may want to rewrite it, where it sounds like you travel and party all the time and when it comes to a match, you may want to be more selective in stating what kind of girl you really do want to go out with.
Another thing is that you may not want to put on your profile that you are leaving right away. If you are only looking for one date, tell that girl in person. Because someone looking for a date may not want to go out if she thinks you are leaving soon. Be honest and say you just want a date, nothing serious. Lastly, your photos are so serious. I know in the military they make you take photos like that, but on the site, loosen up and smile, have fun! A smile goes a long way with the Ladies. I wish you the best of luck in finding a date. I already Been There Done That!!! Not Going Back!!! I didn't send money when asked, but the guy disappeared really fast after pretending to be my friend for a long time! I learned though. Now, it seems every other day, my mail box has someone wanting me to email them at their other email address. I don't go for that anymore, I deleted them! I found that to be the best way for me! If you feel like this each and every day for a long time, then you may want to go seek a doctor's help. You may need some tests. It could be something simple that is causing you to feel down, maybe hormones, or it could be depression which is more common than you know. Don't allow yourself to feel badly. If you are really suffering everyday, wouldn't you rather feel better? Do something about it! There are alternative medicines. There are all kinds of new ways to treat and prevent depression now days. Exercise is great, eatting properly, sleeping 8 hrs. a nite, if that is not going well, see someone, talk to someone about what is upsetting you. Do not harm yourself! Think of all the many, many people that love and care for you and need and depend upon you?! Remember one last thing...God does not make any MISTAKES! I will keep you in my prayers. Take care. I understand what you are going through and if I may I can offer some advice. I was having the same problem when I was trying to write my poems. My new computer was messing up trying to block the im's and so I finally found there is a way to stop the im's altogether,for when I wanted to write, rest, read, etc. So, if you are feeling like you are overwhelmed and need a rest, here is how to set your im on off if you do not already know how and you can turn it back on anytime you feel ready to chat again.
Go to Edit Profile at the top of the page, then once there look under Settings. It is the first one under settings. It will tell you all about im's and what to do. I hope this will help you to get a little peace. Take care. Bless You. Peace and Angel Hugs!

NO! You are not. I know the frustration you are feeling my friend. I will just be writing away at a poem and think I am all done and hit post, then it lights up in pink, TOO MANY CHARACTERS! I am thinking to myself, WHAT??? How can you express all you want to if you are confined to only so many letters?! If you end up like you say writing 16,409 you don't even know where to cut back and it messes up the entire writing!
I think they should give us all the space we need to write freely. Plus, remember when we use to only have 45 minutes to write a email?? Is that still true? I don't see it under the email space anymore, but that is crazy too. If you couldn't type fast you were out of luck! Speaking of space, there in the emails, not even enough space to write all you want to say to someone, you end up writing two letters just to say hello! I am so sorry you did not get to post your blog, for I know it would have been GREAT! Try posting it back to back on TWO BLOGS!!! LOL.

The people who commented are absolutely right, give yourself some time, just for you. Do some of the things that make you feel good, things for fun, things you love to do. I agree that age is just a number and if and when love comes to you then you should grasp it and handle it with care. Enjoy it while you and that special person are together. Life is short, often you may only find love once in your lifetime. I don't feel you should pass it up based upon age. You may look back years later and regret it. You have made a very good point. All humans even from infancy need human contact to survive, it has been proven. It is sad in today's society that there is too little trust and too much pain that people experience that keeps them away from that human contact. You have great wisdom. There are many, many lonely people not only in the world, but on this website. That is why we are all here to find someone or to make friends, to connect. I loved someone who lied and lied all the time to me. Finally it got to the point I could no longer believe or trust him any longer. I had to break it off. I still love him and miss him, I just will never trust him again. So, I'd say yes, it is possiable to love someone and still not trust that person. Nice topic to share. I am sorry if you got hurt.
