A supposition.
The weakest links are the children and the elderly,
in whom certain occupations are legally bound to
follow the government protocols over themselves in regards to their clients.
These multitudes have been the frontrunners in the experiment as they mostly comply out of necessity if not habituation.
As others see them " fall in line" and because of their "protector statuses" they blindly follow.
It is not a small percent of the population that is bringing about warp speed, as these are medical care workers and child educators primarily.
Both institutions are going into rapid obsolescence.
