The extended Fourth of July holiday has left me with that same sentiment.
Firework displays alone were not enough, and the President's speech rang hollow.

My spirits were raised considerably by the local news though:
the traditions of the city parade complete with military honoring.

Our activists of the 1970s became the robber barons and drug lords of the disco era, THE establishment.
Along with it came big pharma: legal or illegal drugs.
