I suppose if it is a part of your culture it is easier to understand and accommodate.
In a perfect arranged marriage I'd expect both would work very hard at making the relationship function. Something that does not always happen in relationships based on attraction. When the fascination is gone often the relationship is too.
I suppose if I had a child and lived in a country where it was common practice I would want a very close relationship with the family from long before the time our children were supposed to marry to be sure everything was going to be as smooth as possible between the bride and groom and out families.
I know a few people who have used these services. One already published with more traditional publishers, Some that were locally published and a few poets that thought they were going to find fame.
It is a much better deal than the old vanity publishers.
So how do we get to see the sample pages to tempt us into buying?
I think the disinformation game is being played better all the time. Folks have been trained very well to believe what they are told is the truth.
Get two parties saying the truth is two opposing things and it makes for fairly easy distraction of the masses when they start to fight among themselves over "the truth".
I guess nobody bothers to learn how social engineering works or even how stage magicians distract the crowd. They must all be two busy panicking on command and fighting for the right to be good little boxes made of tiki-taki.
