I certainly can't speak for all men, but here is what I'm looking for when it comes to confidence in women.
I prefer a woman who is direct. I like it when a woman takes an active part in all aspects of the relationship. Whether it is where we are going to eat dinner or the way she likes to be kissed. I understand that ambiguity and indecision will always be a factor in any relationship; however, I feel that some women would rather hold their tongue and be slightly unhappy rather than risk immediate discomfort and get what they really want.
The problem with that in relationships is that if this behavior becomes the status quo then resentment can build up over time. Oftentimes, the man will simply make decisions without consulting the woman because he always gets the same ambiguous response. The woman in turn begins to feel that she never gets to have a say or be a part of the decision making process.
Subtle hints are sometimes dropped, but I can tell you that I am terrible at picking those up. A stark "Yes" or "No" is what I need.
Thanks Buddy Ray. We actually went on a date Saturday. It was the first time we met in person. We had had numerous online chat sessions and phone calls. We're going out again this Saturday.
