Everything you said was correct Ingi. Don't get me wrong. I'm just like everyone one else when they say they are attracted to personality over looks. I am just pointing out an observed truth.
on the Barack and Michelle topic: I personally believe, as far as looks go, they are fairly evenly matched. My opinion aside, obviously their relationship is much deeper than the superficial. most marriages are. However, I am certain that her being good looking (or mildly good looking) played a pivotal part in Baracks initial attraction.
I dont know their history and how they met each other. But i am using their relationship to get to my overall point. Looks are everything when it comes to that initial spark felt. Whether its a glance from across the room or a tiny thumbnail pic on a singles site.
It's like having a really great resume. If the employer likes what they see. it warrants an interview, and a possible position with that company will follow.
Having good looks (clean, healthy,basic grooming at the very least), warrants a conversation, and a possible long relationship/marriage (based on a deeper attraction).
Of course, there are always exceptions to the rule. Not everyone fits into this category. However, I'm talking about most people.
