I cannot comment on some of the claims made in the video. Eg, I have no idea whether we have more or less polar bears.
I agree with the comments on a recurring ice age though - that has been proven I believe.
But, as for burning fossil fuels - hello! they will run out! Or at least until we develop the technology to reach the fuels not yet found/available to us.
And, although the video says the contamination is insignificant, I believe it's significant enough to make our air less pleasant. There are millions of cars on the roads and it is really unpleasant walking in town these days.
So, if the climate change brigade help to reduce car use and other pollutants being released into the atmosphere, then I'm going to support them.
I agree. We all make mistakes though as bringing up kids is hard. However, some people make such a bad job of it that I wonder why they bothered having them at all. Maybe people should have to get a licence before they can breed. Ok, totally unrealistic and elitist, but you get the drift.
Hi Professor. I would have thought that factually based information is not classed as 'opinion'??
I've read blogs or posts (there isn't a lot of difference on CS) which contain facts/independent scientific findings and nobody has criticised those, but only added positively to them.
I think some of the blogs/posts on CS are so 'wierd' that it's difficult not to dispute them or offer an opinion on them.
So when your marriage fails after 20+ years, that feeling of 'having your legs cut off', of loss, anger and despair, isn't really a feeling of failure? It sure felt like failure to me.
When you tell someone you love them, then all you've succeeded in doing is falling in love. After that, keeping love alive is where the challenge is.
Age is a funny thing - men often trade their wives in for a 'younger' model. Very few trade for the older model. So maybe subconciously men think about age quite a bit??
Anyway, I would want to be with someone of a similar age, maybe five to ten years either side of mine. At least we'll be able to relate to each others' life experiences.
I currently share my home with three 20/21 year olds, and they are on a different planet most of the time - bless their little cotton socks .
I wonder whether, with large age differences (20 - 30 years etc) if people continue to feel passion once the initial infatuation has worn off?
Well!!! I've come to the conclusion that whether or not I meet anyone on this site, I will tune in each day if I can just for my daily How1e joke. Haven't laughed so much in ages.
That's a fantastic image you've posted. I love stars and sciency things. If I had a spare bag of money I would buy a telescope to look into the sky at night. Great stuff!
why waste time worrying/crying/losing sleep etc over someone who no longer loves you enough to be with you??? No matter what the obstacles, she put herself first!! Time for you to put yourself first and forget the clouds.
My marriage broke up after 23 years - I wept for less than a day in the end - what was the point (and yes, I was a loving wife etc etc etc, but I wisened up - quickly) and me and my ex we are good pals still.
RE: What truly is important to you????
So if you two guys were watching your homes burn, you would stop and pray before saving your family...????
