I had gall stones which cause the gallbladder to inflame.
The pain has been described as "worse than childbirth". I think it might have been!
It feels like you're having a heart attack. You can hardly breathe and the pain goes right up to the right shoulder. Each attack lasted about 30 mins or so, and only occurred every few months.
The worst inflammation incident left me in hospital for four days on intensive antibiotic treatments. I was then booked in for surgery.
I had keyhole surgery. But if they had operated while it was inflamed I would have ended up with a very large scar.
So GO TO YOUR DOCTOR, get the scans you need and get it sorted. If it's not your gallbladder then it sounds like it is still something serious, and you need to get it checked out.
I think there's some truth in this, but I could be wrong. I'm wondering if the woman (Lori) was ever in a long-term relationship. I think it's different when you come out of a long-term relationship.
Only speaking for myself of course, but after 23+ years of marriage I was not prepared to settle for whatever came along. But now, after being single for a while, I don't expect to find the big 'love thing'. I will settle for physical attraction and respect.
I'm not having a good day. I'm feeling a bit scratchy. I've just read a couple of posts on the blogs and so on, and some people are just 'freaking wierdos'. And sometimes I take the bait.
Days like this I should just not log on at all.
Am I alone in this? Does anyone else get wound up by some of the complete and utter cr*p on this site?
That's why I generally stick to the UK forums which are usually nice and playful.
Think I'll go and smoke ciggies and drink or something...
I've had a few guys give me their email address and MSN address usually on their first or second mailing.
I take no notice. I reply only through the site. Maybe it is that some guys are not as cautious as us females and don't think twice about giving out their contact details???
There was one guy who I did give my email address to though, but it was a 'disposable address' I set up with my internet provider because my proper address has my full name in it. But that was only after many emails through the site.
I think you need to take each one separately and see if you develop a level of trust, but they can't all be scammers, can they??
yeah, I like freckles - but not too many. Mine have faded now, but my daughter recently returned from holiday and her freckles are showing. She looks fabulous with them.
I didn't realise there was an Irish forum - I'll log in again in future.
I think the tennis and such like could be measured on the entertainment value, eg some singers, actors and actresses get paid more than others. It all depends on the crowds they draw, doesn't it? Look at football - some players get over £100k a week, but some hardly get anything. It's all about the level of success. I'm not saying it's right though, but that's the way it is right now.
As for the poll - I can't believe some people actually answered 'no'!!! I didn't realise there were knuckle draggers on CS (and one of them is a woman I belive - I hope she earns less than her male colleagues).
One of the best books I read in my twenties ( ) was "End of a Dream" - it was the story of the Titanic. All the technical stuff and the following court case and so on. I've still got it in my loft.
And I love reading about Art History, and Greek Mythology, and Science stuff.
Concorde was my favourite plane cos I don't really know much about them, just whether they look nice or not, and go really fast. And I like the Harrier because we invented it, I think? And I like the Chinook helicopters. Don't ask me why, I just do. I'm wierd like that.
I like watching the TV documentaries on plane crashes - not from a morbid sense of entertainment, but to see how they go about finding out the cause and fixing it. It's fascinating, but sad as well. Sometimes the NTSB and the like have to fight tooth and nail with the airline companies to get a fault fixed. It's scandalous, but most of them appear to get fixed, thank God.
I've got books on Feng Shui too - but what can you do when your kitchen is in the wrong part of the house. And I've got a book of love spells - maybe I should try one of them out!
I did nearly buy the Splendid Suns book, but it was about an Afghan woman's life (if I remember correctly), and what I've read previously about their lives, I know I'd be in tears reading it on the train?? Is it a sad book?
I tried reading another Indian book once - a prizewinner one - well known?? but put it away half way through because it was hard going - what was the name of it????? I'll dig it out again. But it was about this woman and her divorce from her husband and the cr*p she had to put up with out there.
Another really good book was the one by Carlos ..? ... something about the Strangers in the Wind or something. I read it over a year ago and it was very good. Spanish civil war etc.
Need to sort out my brain cell - it's gone to sleep and can't remember the titles.
It's a daft concept I think. Someone who is naughty can say "sorry God, won't do it again, forgive me", then they can go out and do it again and then say "sorry God, won't do it again, I am weak, please forgive me" then they do it again.....and again.... and so on!
I remember when Liverpool cathedral was build (the Catholic one). I was a small kid at the time and was told to put my pocket money in the collection that "was being put towards it!!??" Well, I made a point of going to the sweet shop first and spending some of it before putting the change in the box - a halfpenny (remember those?)
The laptop I bought for my daughter a year or so ago. It's a Dell XPS1500 - it's lovely, and has a large 15" screen. We treat it with respect though and no drinks near it. The battery lasts about three hours - she spends ages on Facebook with it. It's handy for using when sitting on the sofa etc but it's a tad too heavy to be truly portable unless you had a proper bag. It's about 2kg I think. The benefits also include being able to take it to the office to get the tech guys to look at it when your Windows Updates crash it (like it did two months or so ago!).
The desktop I bought from PC World Business - it was a similar price to the home versions but without all the cr*p pre-loaded onto it. It's the same as the one I use at work. And I get to claim back the costs from my little private business.
I prefer the desktop as the keyboard is a full size (less doubling up of key symbols) and I can leave it switched on for hours on end. And the mouse is easier to use.
I don't understand the Clintons (or any other political families either side of the pond) - all that power mad ego in one home, must be hell to live in!
