RE: has anybody learnt anything interesting from any failed/romance/work/family/freinds/relationships ?

Negholic - I like that one. There's certainly lots of them about.

I think that if you're on your own too long you start to think you're unattractive and it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy - you stop loving yourself. Any failed relationship can have a negative effect on your state of mind. Trick is, I guess, is not to let yourself take all the blame.

RE: -- Kuwait and USA obesity and overweigt crisis --

I feel very sorry for really fat people. I know it's their own fault and so on but most of them have become stuck in the cycle and find it very hard to break free.

Cheap, fattening, poor quality food is so easy to obtain now. This is where the drug companies should be doing more - invent a pill or something that really does put people off eating cr*p.

I'm moving to Italy laugh

And his "make my day, Punk!"

Did you see him in Paint Your Wagon? The cringy bit where he sang to the trees! laugh

When I was a kid, my mum worked in the cinema as an usherette (remember them???) and she brought me home the album soundtrack to the spaghetti westerns as a pressy. It didn't have a cover, and I think it was a complimentary or something that the cinema were given. I loved that record.

Favourite Actors/Actresses

Just wondered if anyone wanted to share their thoughts...

One actor I particularly like is Al Pacino - I think he's so cute. Godfather II, and Scarface "say hello to my leetle friend"

And Alan Rickman - I think he's fantastic.

Una Thurman - I love her films. Did anyone see "The Truth About Cats and Dogs"?

anyone else...?

RE: So what gets you really ----

People spitting in the street really annoys me - I hate it. Outside where I work every other person spits (yes, men and women but mostly men) and when I walk down the road my eyes are glued to the pavement to make sure I don't step in it.
yuk yuk yuk very mad

photos - flirting - etc...

How much would you guys advise someone to chat/email with someone without a photo on their profile? Why would someone not put a photo on their profile?

What about flirting - what if you've forgotten how??? cool Where do you draw the line in what you accept/reject and what you say back etc?

What about questions - are there some you just shouldn't ask somebody on these sites?

Sorry if I sound like a div, but been out of this game for a long long time and now feeling very unsure of myself. This is the first time I've done the online thing and to be honest I enjoy the innocent fun of the UK forums but everything else is a bit like 'unknown territory' for me. So just looking for some input to my questions really. I guess at my age I should be able to answer these questions myself but maybe I'm too naive.

But in the end, I'm quite happy for now with the UK forums - I feel quite comfortable with the CS'ers who use them. hug
