I heard it could involve severe chest tightening/pain, and possible associated vomitting. Apparently, similar to heart attack symptoms. Always get any unusual extreme symptoms checked out.

Perhaps if you describe your symptoms, maybe someone on here may be able to help, (knowing of-course you are not expecting medical assistance from anyone here, before anyone makes any comment to that effect).

Hope you're OK.

Settle your fears. Go the the doctor. Many years ago I had similar symptoms but didn't pay much attention to them. I was busy with raising my family and I have a very high pain threshold. When the heartburn finally got horrendous and constant, I went to the doctor. My gallbladder had been bad for quite a while (a couple years actually). Surgery would have been simple if they'd caught it early. I finally went to the doctor on a Friday afternoon. I had surgery Monday morning at 5. I now have a 10-inch scar from my sternum down along the right side of my rib cage and it took me 4 months to recover instead of just 4 weeks. Go to the doctor.

I had all the symptoms of what I thought was an impending heart attack for years, like my rib cage being squeezed or a sharp stabbing pain in my chest. Oddly enough, a glass of water would sort it but it frightened me at the time. (I was a smoker then!)

Anyhoos, I had heard somewhere that it could be my gallbladder so I went to the doc who sent me to hospital who put a scope down my throat.

Long story short....they found 4 small ulcers in my oesophegus (food pipe). Seems that unlike the stomach which has mucous to protect it from acid, the oesophegus doesn't. I was over producing acid which passed through the cardiac sphincter(valve at bottom of food pipe) and proceeded to burn me.

One small protium tablet before bed and no more problems. I can eat what I like and no more pain and resulting anxiety or fear of heart attacks.

I put myself through unnecessary pain and fear for years so go to the doc even if you have a brain like mine that tells you that this time it's terminal.conversing

As so many other people have told you -- Go to the doctor and get the problem solved. I have Crohn's Disease which led to gall bladder disease. I had one doctor who misdiagnosed the problem for several months. By the time I had surgery, my gall bladder was ready to explode. According to the doctor, it was the worst gall bladder he had ever seen. On a positive note, my gall bladder is on display at some medical university.

Go get it checked , like right now. It could also be your appendix which is in there somewhere. If one of these things burst, it could kill you. So go now.bouquet

I had gall stones which cause the gallbladder to inflame.

The pain has been described as "worse than childbirth". I think it might have been!

It feels like you're having a heart attack. You can hardly breathe and the pain goes right up to the right shoulder. Each attack lasted about 30 mins or so, and only occurred every few months.

The worst inflammation incident left me in hospital for four days on intensive antibiotic treatments. I was then booked in for surgery.

I had keyhole surgery. But if they had operated while it was inflamed I would have ended up with a very large scar.

So GO TO YOUR DOCTOR, get the scans you need and get it sorted. If it's not your gallbladder then it sounds like it is still something serious, and you need to get it checked out.

good luck!

I am not medically qualified but it sounds gastric of some kind, perhaps an ulcer? It may be the onset of reflux.....

Best not to seek advice from an internet dating site Forums but really go to a medical professional?

Hope you are much better soon! bouquet

The gas is the gallbladder. You may have toxins buliding up. Go and find out. I would sugest alteranative tries or you will probably be recommended surgey . Good helth and a full remission to you. Do not worry think positive. This is very common. You will recover fine

Don't know if you have gotten this taken care of yet, but the exact same thing has happened to me.

It honestly felt like a sharp knife was stabbing me over and over for hours on end. I finally gave up and went to the ER. They did a bunch of tests, ultrasounds thinking it was my gal bladder.

It ended up being Gastritis, which certain foods as well as gluten would trigger that inside my body. I had to take a few medications and get on really low carb diet for 2 weeks.

Now I know, and it hasn't come back, but that is because I have changed my whole style of eating.

Gallbladder pains are more in your lower back, and they say it will feel worse than childbirth. I have no children, but the pain I had, was absolutely killer.

Hope that you have gotten it checked out, it freaking sucks being in that much pain.

Smile! :)

I wouldn't be too worried. As long as you are going to the Dr. they should be able to find out and give ya some answers. :) I had a gallbladder attack when my second daughter was about 6 months old. I woke up w/severe pain on my right side and then started throwing up and could barely walk it hurt so bad. I went to the ER and they did an ultrasound and said I had gallstones. I had my gallbladder removed(which did NOT leave me w/huge scars; only 3 small incisions and then it was removed through my belly button, lol) After a few weeks I was back to normal w/no problems. Hang in there and just take it easy. Lay off greasy foods and spicy stuff since that can make digestion problems worse no matter what is wrong. Good luck and let us know what happens. :)

I struggled for 5 yrs with mine b/c I did not have stones. When they took it out, I was told they got it in the nick of time. The next step was necrosis.
