I just went to the kitchen to look for a recipe. I realized I must have 50 cookbooks that I haven't been opened in years!! Including my beloved George Forman Grill...cookbook. So I am wondering, how many of you have cookbooks you never use?? Or do ANY of you really use a cookbook at all??
we used to be able to joke with each other on CS. But as of late people seem to have lost their sense of humor!!
I know I'll get flack for this...but it seems like the women are the most guilty!! I always say what I feel and pay for it later.
Something I said in jest, has been taken literally, and blown out of bounds. Get a life.......and enjoy it. Might be why SOME newbies aren't accepted....they take themselves wat too seriously.
Got to disagree with that. The government should have no say in what I do in my car...an extention of my home. Nor should they tell me what to do in my home. The only people who have benefited from seat belts are insurance companies who pay out less awards.
It should be MY decision whether I wear a seat belt or not. I don't need the govenment to protect me from me!

In that case...smash out one headlight. Buy a copy of Consumer Reports and compare prices. Check to see if the headlamp you are considering buying is "green" friendly. Upon purchasing said headlamp, be sure you investigate which credit card to use as you certainly want to use the credit card that will allow you extra sky miles, and avail you to the cheapest interest rates.
Do not install the the headlamp...keep it in the trunk of your vehicle. You can then bring attention to the darkness of the ecology while inspiring people with only one headlamp, that there is light. Upon election day......install the headlamp, proclaiming. "Real light comes with your vote for Ralph Nadar!"
The pointis....he is as white as he is black!! But he doesn't claim to want to be the first bi-racial president. He is relying on his "black roots" to get him in the white house!! (or bi-racial house)
He claims to want "change...we can believe in" yet subscribes to the antiquated belief that if you are bi-racial...you are considered black.
If he would stand and say he wanted to be the first bi-racial president of the U.S. I would even work for his campaign. But because he doesn't associate himself with the caucasian part of his family, just the black part, I have to ask will he do the same as president!!

Barrack will WIN because of racial bias. He has the support of so many because he claims to be black and he isn't! He is bi-racial! Liberals think they are being cool by showing how they don't let color get in the way. BUT, if you vote for a man BECAUSE of his color, you are just as guilty as if you voted AGAINST him due to his color
depends...some refer to their ex as a way to get laughs. I love my ex wife. Not IN love with her, but I love her as a person. This does not discourage me from referring to her in a humorous way, to get a laugh. She knows this...and I say some pretty mean things...but it's for the laughs. It's all for the laughs
problem is people have forgotten how to give and take in a relationship!
As you said, you refuse to settle! To me that means everything must be your way or the high way!! Not much room to build something on.
We have become so used to the thought process of me..me..me, and were told this is a good thing.
People need to work out differences and negotiate...not settle...but negotiate. That is what is missing in relationships. It not about US...it's me me me
