Well I have not been given the right to vote...should I start quaking in my boots now and take up praying....what is there to fear??? I am Scottish through and through, I dont fear for my own identity/nationality or my country, I try to have confidence in my government to do the right thing for us....I dont feel threatened at all...should I??
Well Im just trying to understand the overwhelming number of nos on this thread alone and from people I would have expected to vote yes.....going on my gut instinct I would probably vote yes....but as Ive said earlier I dont know enough about it...
Hi Losty I for one wouldnt have the brain power to get my head around all of this so Im beginning to think maybe its as well I dont have to vote....and for once I can see why the majority are voting no.....a case of better the devil you know!
Right Im out of here after one last comment...the EU certainly havent ignored Ireland so far, Ireland get lots n lots out of the pot and more than most.... why would they change?
I just dont understand what you are afraid of...not one of you have given a good reason why you vote no...not sure any of you actually know why....think for yourselves is what i would say and dont listen to the negative crap..
Oh well guess its none of my business...but I think you are all very wrong and are basing your decisions on heresay and lies...very frustrating I would say for the people in the know who would vote yes...anyway night night
Well our government encourages us to work over here...if you are working on low income you are entitled to working tax credits also if we have children in full time education under the age of 20 that also entitles us to Child tax credits....which can add around 150 pounds per week onto your income...in the longrun this is more cost efficient to the government that people giving up work completely and going on social security whereby the government have to pay council tax and mortgage payments etc....
I wasnt sure what the UK minimum wage was so I just looked there..and was shocked to see it was £5.73 per hour..what is the Irish minimum wage? I am also shocked to see that in the majority of your local shops non-irish people do these jobs while a lot of the Irish remain unemployed....that makes me wonder what the minimum wage in Ireland is..and more importantly is it being adhered to???
Well we have always had a huge divide between the have and have nots over here....i dont understand what you mean about raising pay agreements sorry.......and to be frank and getting very slightly off the subject why is it that when I come to Ireland I have to pay, and have paid, 7 euro for a GLASS of wine when I can buy a BOTTLE in a Glasgow pub for £5..same wine imported from the same country...who is pocketing all the cash???
I know you are a peacelover and you know I am too even thought I am British lol...but havent you already come to an agreement over neutrality?? Also isnt Ireland at the top of the table when it comes to EU handouts?? Why would it stop? We were right keeping the pound?....£1 now equals 1 euro....not sure about that one... As for Nama sterling/dollar/euro...havent a scooby We need someone to come on here who knows what theyre talking about to explain it to us...instead of these sad fake profilers shouting VOTE NO from the rooftops...very helpful that eh??
