no, not for some. My ex was Navy and for the first 4 years of our marriage we barely saw each other..barely. We did end up splitting up because of his infidelity, but that was his bad choice- not because of being military. For me a military guy or off shoreman is kinda a bonus for me, because I'm so independent and I like to have time for myself, for some women this is not for them being separated from their loved ones for months at a time- they want their man home every night. Just makes the homecoming that much sweeter. And allot of women love a man in uniform, so it's not a retracted JMHO. Thanks for serving BTW!

some of my friends are like ohh cool, and ask all the time if there's actually decent people on here, and I just tell them it's like real life, you get em all. Now some are very leary and wish I wouldn't but hey I work, single parent, and don't have time to get out and meet people, hard to walk up to a total stranger and just Hi my name is Kristine, and yours? I'm looking to meet new people, will you be my friend and maybe we can hang out sometime?...that would have me with the crazy girl label all over so yep I come here and try to meet people that are also trying to meet people and so far all's good, made some nice friends, just what I wanted.

I put dating, cuz I wanna just have some time to myself for now, but don't wanna shut off finding someone fun to go out with. Eventually I do want to get married, but I have no clue and on one in mind when that day will be, just sometime down the road. Just trying to have fun for now, that's all, having someone to do that with would be a plus, but I ain't putting intimate encounter on there, cuz I don't want to be bugged too much by potential skuzzies I wouldn't want to be with under any terms.

I'm always going stir crazy here myself with nothing to do! Just not much to do as far as stuff I like but go to the drag strip or shop (which I hate doing! LOL!)

guess it all depends. That's me on there and agree it's hard to know what to say, but I've ran across several already that aren't truthful in their profiles, others seem truly genuine though, so I just try to make up my mind as I get to talk to them.

Mine's up to date and my age is true- hey for mid 30's I think I'm still holding up pretty good, probably the only difference in it and me IRL is well I don't always wear makeup (but always mascara) and I don't fix up my hair all the time, that's it, but no that's me...my daughter took the picture and we were on our way out the door to go have dinner.

I much prefer face to face myself, then like PP said you can see if the chemistry is really there or not. But I do think as much as all this brings people in contact with other it does take away some from people just getting out there socializing IRL, JMHO.

no harm no foul with me, I'm not petite- more curvy hourglass, and well I don't like "skinny" men for same reasons as you've said, yep I've dated them and just don't prefer them- like meat on the bones personally. It's fine by me.
