That's the whole idea of the forums, to get people chatting with one another, and then hopefully connecting.

Not having a go at the OP, but if someone wants to read something that stays completely on topic, they should be reading a book instead.

Not sure how I come across to others at times, but anyone who's met me from the site, or knows me, can attest that I am indeed the same offline, as I am here.

I met someone from Australia, that's about as far on the other side of the globe as it gets. She stayed with me for 5 weeks, and we had a wonderful time while she was here.

I haven't been able to travel for quite a while, money and other responsibilities have kept me close to home, but I'm hoping to be able to in the very near future, and I will.

I know, it's happened to me too. Gets to be rather disheartening when you discover the person you've been chatting with is a complete fake. There are also those that are just here to pass the time, with no intentions of ever taking it any further, but tell you different.

Despite all of the crap, I'm still here, although I find it hard to take most people seriously at all. Never know though, I might meet my future ex wife on here yet.

Of course there's a difference, and yes, I have met others from the site, and hope to meet more in the future. It's not a game, at least not to me anyway.

Being carefree and having less responsibilities, being able to spend my hard earned money on what I wanted to, not on bills and mortgage payments.

I've had several Pontiacs, my favorite being a '50 2 door sedan, straight 8, automatic, with 62,00 miles on it. I'm not sad to see them go, they haven't built anything worth mentioning in several decades, but then again, none of the big three have, save a few models.

Where do you draw the conclusion that pot is a gateway drug because heroin and morphine are created from a poppy?

They're hardly a natural product, they're a highly refined drug from a plant base, and so are many pharmaceuticals. Are pills your doctor prescribes a natural product as well?

Personally, I don't smoke it, but I hate to see the misinformation spread by people that don't have a freaking clue at all!

If one wants to argue that point, then baby aspirin is likely the true "gateway drug", or maybe coffee or cigarettes.


Most people that have a beer or smoke some pot, NEVER go on to anything stronger like Cocaine or Heroin. There are also those that never smoked a single joint in their entire life, yet end up cracked out of their skulls or as a pin cushion or a pill popper.

There are HUGE differences between manufactured chemical drugs and pot, no matter what they're originally derived from.

Not all the way to the top, but I have been above the treeline many times, even in my Land Rover. Our bigger mountains have snow year round, and I don't like snow.

The African Lion Safari in Ontario, Canada, been there a few times as a kid. It's just so unususl to see lions, giraffes, elephants roaming free around you, and monkeys climbing all over the car and peeing on it while trying to break pieces off.

Somewhere warm and sunny, with no phones, cold beer, preferably with someone. Location doesn't matter as much, but the Med. is nice.
