Unfair but we assume people who look wonderful are arrogant about it. Men have to be brave to approach a beautiful woman? I think thy prefer just attractive. Despite the bad times I look back on being married as a lovely way to be. Feeling a security and companionship that other relationships dont offer. Sleeping and waking with someone who is such an integral part of your life. Achieving knowing they are part of it. Sharing the Downs knowing your other is there for you. The seurity of trust? Striving to keep a good relationship but within the parameters of committment. Assumed and accepted commitment. The happiness that comes from being part of a real loving partnership. I hope to know that again. I know if a woman says she is looking for a husband I get far more interested! Wanting someone to Cherish seems so natural. Want to give all this love I have. Not take. But only hope it might be reflected? Mr. and Mrs just seems right to me. When my divorce comes after over 3 years apart who wants First Refusal? LOL
So called Honour Murders still happen but it is always a girl who is killed. My experience of the Sikh community in England was shocking. Tradition and ignorance allowed it. A woman with 4 children was persistently beaten by her husband. When she finally left him she was condemned. He imported a new wife fom India, his fourth! Any mention of this was seen as rascist. Maybe people in the West need to be less politically correct and more moral?
After 9 11 I was in Georgia. A teenager was so angry he got his gun and decided to shoot a Rag Head. So went to his local gas station and shot dead its owner. A Sikh. Who had lived there for years.
I remember being in New York when a satelitte was due to crash land. A man sold Umbrellas and people bought them. A biased insight into American thinking. On a serious note the so called security at Houston was a farce. After all the checks if you wanted a cigarette you just walked out and back with no checks. Homeland Security reached its peak for me in Boston. Was I a 6ft 4 red haired Canadian ? Close to saying Yes. I am kneeling. And now dye my hair white.And fake my Britsh Accent. Took 30 mins before the Supervisor would let me go. British Customs are much better. Ignore you unless obviously foreign.That is Non White.
Faking the crashing aeroplanes was brilliant. Looked so real? If these rumours are around no wonder people think americans are nuts. Cant people accept it was some crazy arabs who had a heavy date with lots of virgins in heaven?
I think too many parents now put too much responsibility on children, epecially for making important decisions. There are times when they should just tell them what to do. And risk being unpopular. A 15 yr old was allowed to go drinking because her parents got upset when she shouted at them??? She chooked on her own vomit and died. Parents should exercise authority. It goes with the role. There are times to be strict. And children NEED boundaries.
For many people it seems it is just a game. A vanity project. Using others to reaffirm how desirable they are or to laugh at gullibilty. Ironically to be a winner you must stay detached which ensures you are a loser! Another paradox is if you remain honest and sincere you may lose the prospective partner but win by retaining integrity. We should not play games with feelings especially the Dating Game.
Healthy possessive means you love and care. Unhealthy means you want to control. You posess your wife because she wants you to? But she is her own person always. Surrender your sovereignty in love and you both enjoy it?
Is it not a shame that those of us who have ended up talking to liars and frauds cannot warn others? Especially when they are still on site. And preying on other innocent people.
My friend, one of the nicest guys you could ever meet, dated a woman for months. Heard all her stories about her very jealous, violent Ex. After he was dumped he received a Wedding invite from her. She married the man who had blasted her parents house with a shotgun? Guess she loved the excitement of a bad guy? My brother says All women are mad. I am beginning to believe him.
I know it is easy to Fall for someone who is very distant geographically. But the heart felt shared messages and seemingly honest responses wreak havoc on our cynicism. Do we trust and hope or cut and run? I think its called a reality check? I need one now!
Why is it women are put off if you are obviously keen on them? Do they prefer the couldnt care less type of man? How does one show real interest without being seen as needy? Would love to know what is it that puts women off?
Just a thought but if we go on holiday to another country why not use the contacts we have through CS? Not to exploit romance but to gain local knowledge? Have a friend in an unknown place? They could steer you away from problems and at least give company? Id be happy to help any CS member vsisting France!
Several times I have met people on the site. Exchanged a lot of E Mails and thought we were getting close. Then they vanished. No replies. No contact.Were they just Players? If so I cannot understand the motive for this? I happen to be honest and sincere. So perhaps just another fool? Now getting so mistrustful? Think that so many on the site are playing.
My best friend married a woman 16 years younger. All lovely then but later the age gap has widened. Another had 2 stepsons older than her. She now wheels her dynamic husband around and helps feed him. Age is a significant factor and ignoring it is likely to result in true pathos. Though Love can conquer all?
