the name is familiar, i go way back also, there were so many, and the lesser bands were great too, in fact the groups that werent on the radio with hits, are the types of things i collect from the 60's and 70's
there are great bands that had some throw aways on their albums, but i like everything skynyrd did, even what would be considered filler was good stuff, every mothers son, is one of those that stand out for me
ive seen hundreds of shows and one that i wish that i would have witnessed is skynyrd, they were a favorite in the 70's and still are, ronnie spoke for me when i didnt have the words.
i agree to a certin extent, allen collins and gary rossinton were as well as ronnie, after the plane crash they went out as the rossington collins band and shouldnt have returned to calling themselves lynyrd skynyrd, maybe they thought with ronnies little brother they could pass it off, but not for me, i'm loyal to ronnies legecy and memory.
i love music from all decades, but tend to zero in on the era between,1965-75 rock, but also into blues, old country from the 50's, folk, jazz, 50's rock, late 70's punk, ect, ect.
recently i had some good news, and would love to have had someone to share it with, and be happy for me, its a hollow victory otherwise, not being able to share all that life has, the good or bad with that special someone.
i always adhere to posted speed limits, the ones i'm talkin bout are the slow pokes that are driving 45 in a 55 you go to pass and they speed up while you are passing, that brings me to another peeve, the people that are oblivious to the fact that their other people on the road, in grocery store, movie theatre, on the sidewalk, ect, ect
RE: Lynyrd Skynyrd
