i love music from all decades, but tend to zero in on the era between,1965-75 rock, but also into blues, old country from the 50's, folk, jazz, 50's rock, late 70's punk, ect, ect.
amahlala: Why do have to pick a specific decade? What if I like the music from all the decades, including the decades before the 50's? Do we have other options?
i think we all like music from most decades, but overall i think we have a favourite decade .anyway, not much happened musically before the 50's ,but then again, some older people might prefer the 30's or 40's .each to his(or her)own!

I agree.
I'm into music from most of those decades with the exception of crap (rap).
I enjoy classic rock, new wave, oldies, country and Celtic. I got into listening to country mostly when groups started to integrate rap into rock.

I guess being older...I would say that I prefer the big band decades....there was quite a lot going on musically.....

yunquepr: I think today, the music industry is down to zero, there is no quality in today's songs.
Rubbish.... there has been great music all through the decades... and to this day still churning out music... good stuff and woeful stuff as has always been... And still, every one likes different things in music..
I personally melt when I hear a wailing guitar... or better still see someone play and make a guitar wail...
But because I dance... I have favourites in all genres.

Cant believe the 80s is in front, in my opinion the worst decade of all since now, no creativity at bar a few names like Sting, Mark Knoppfler, Paul Weller and a few more.uran The 60s revolutioned music both sides of the pond and the lngivity of the music is still there. Ask in 40 years if the likes of Wham, Duran Duran etc will be still playing on Jukeboxes or whatever they have then. Mention The Beatles, Dylan and The rolling Stones, they will still be on the play lists.
