There are many, many ways on how I'd make this determination...but mostly, my intuition tells me much...& I listen to it. In general, though, I prefer to be the one being pursued.

I don't feel that having a pet(s) would enable me to remain single. If a future or potential partner can’t handle/understand the unconditional love that my pets and I have for each other, then that would tell me that they don’t have unconditional love and/or understanding of me...the person I am. I wouldn’t say that having pets would have anything to do with a “higher standard”, simply because I love them & vice-versa. However, my fur-kids and I are a package deal. Take it, or leave it.
