sometimes viewers will click on a thumbnail photo with no info. once they get to your profile they can see a bigger size photo and all the info.
They can tell what you like,how far away you live and etc. some people are not into long distance dating and set mileage limit.
Maybe they weren't being shallow but on the other hand being realistic in their search and staying within their guidelines for finding a compatible partner
