That's terrible! It's sad how it takes something like that to make the rest of us realize just how fortunate we really are. My thoughts & prayers to you all... Adam's mom included.
I was in 9th grade & he was a senior. He asked me to go to a band competition with him... we were both band geeks. My parents insisted on meeting him. He brought his little brother & his brother's friend with him. I was so crazy for him!
He "broke up" with me because he'd heard from this girl that I said we were NECKING!! I didn't tell her that, I told her he kissed me & she blew it out of proportion.
I look back now & think he was such a NERD!!! Now he's a detective.
The reason I took my maiden name back after my divorce was two-fold.
First, his (& my daughter's) last name was so long, I hated signing it on things! I still pity my daughter, who often said she wished I'd changed her name too... but I'm sure he would've fought that.
Secondly, he didn't exactly have a great reputation in the area. I didn't want to be associated with that. Yes, I married him... chalk it up to being young & naive.
Are you kidding?? We had thought about buying the house we were renting right before I left. I am sooooo GLAD I didn't do that! It would've HAD TO be in my name, as he had the worst credit in the free world!! Man, what a MESS that would've been!
And yes, I got the kid... he didn't want the responsibility. And yes, I got the car... he didn't have a license anymore & it was in my name to begin with & I was making the payments!!
BTW, I'm still waiting for the HUGE amount he owes me in back child support.
BRAVO to you!! I only took what I brought into the marriage. In fact, HE got lucky! I didn't even make him pay back all the money I had to pay out to keep us from getting evicted, since everytime I gave HIM the rent money, HE spent it!! And then HE only worked occasionally!
RE: Say something to anyone and no need to mention the Turkey....... Thanksgiving style!!!!!
Hello all! Des, I love the new look!
