I left because it was clear it would never work out. He had a brain injury & his moods swung back & forth worse than a loose gate in a tornado. I don't feel that I really have anything to apologize for but loving him & trying too hard to make it work, because I do know that he truly loved me. He just was "broken" & hard as I tried, I couldn't fix him.

I think, for me, it all depends on the maturity. But then, I can only tell for younger man, older woman. I've dated as much younger as about 12-13 years. It seems for me, as you said, that the men my age are either married or set in their single ways. I just go with the flow & see what happens.
