if building i would certainly have double glaze windows and ranch sliders, heavy drapes to.

RE: solar heating

Friends in Switzerland had half dozen cows in a basement under the kitchen and lounge, in the kitchen was a wood fired stove. In the morning you tossed a couple of fence posts in, through the wall in the lounge, on top the fire box was a six foot slab of marble you could lay on. Not sure what went on upstairs, what the chimneystack did on the floor above but kept the whole house snug and warm until the next day.

RE: solar heating

yeah, mud brick or granite walls offer good storage

RE: solar heating

only hot water i got comes from a solar hot-water system up on the roof, its ok until clouds hang around then might as well jump into the Tambo again...but is ok, when its hot its hot and heaps of it

RE: Help needed in the Kitchen

yeah your right wrong way round

AUSTRALIAN ROAD RULES - REG 72

72—Giving way at an intersection (except a T-intersection or roundabout)

(1) A driver at an intersection (except a T-intersection or roundabout) without traffic lights or a stop sign, stop line, give way sign or give way line, must give way in accordance with this rule.

Offence provision.

Note 1—

"Give way line", "intersection", "stop line", "T-intersection" and "traffic lights" are defined in the dictionary, and "roundabout" is defined in rule 109.

Note 2—

For this rule, "give way" means the driver must slow down and, if necessary, stop to avoid a collision—see the definition in the dictionary.

(2) If the driver is going straight ahead, the driver must give way to any vehicle approaching from the right, unless a stop sign, stop line, give way sign or give way line applies to the driver of the approaching vehicle.

RE: Help needed in the Kitchen

yeah even my steady 85km while i take in the countryside, and of course you dodge the fallen rocks and logging trucks by hugging the bank on corners, how u going mate

RE: Help needed in the Kitchen

In general throughout Australia you give way to all traffic on your left, however vehicles on a round-about have right of way.
Cars entering the round-about are supposed to give way to cars on it.
If there is couple of lanes and your in the right hand lane, there is no reason why a car entering from the left can't proceed into the left lane, if your in the left however they are supposed to wait until you have passed by.

lots of giggly-grog in this thread, hasn't daggy very pretty and no doubt very intelligent lady back in Thailand?

Apparently posters in this forum perceive heightened insight into someones else's motivation and level of common sense.

RE: Help needed in the Kitchen

Roundabout rules

Long vehicles entering and exiting roundabouts
A vehicle may now enter and exit a roundabout in either lane or both lanes if all of the conditions below are adhered to:

The vehicle is 7.5 metres or longer (including any load or projections).
The vehicle displays a ‘do not overtake turning vehicle’ sign.
The vehicle is within 50 metres of the nearest point of the roundabout.
It is not practical for the driver to leave the roundabout more than halfway around it from within the right lane or less than halfway around it from the left lane.

Some popular multivitamins run 1,500 micrograms a pill, twice the recommended daily amount and a level that, in one recent study, doubled the risk of bone fractures. Some supplements provide as much as 4,500 micrograms a day, well above the level that the National Academy of Sciences calls an upper limit for safety.

measured tracked mortality of women over a 19-year period. Researchers found that women taking vitamin supplements died earlier than those women who did not take anything.

Response from the Vitamins May Increase Women’s Risk of Dying Research Finds

Eco-Painting Tips
Go green and paint in any colour you like using New Look paint. The New Look range is tinted with Wattyl’s EcoTint colourant which contains a low 1 gram of VOCs per litre. EcoTint is certified by the Good Environmental Choice of Australia for its low environmental impact. Why not try New Look’s Eco-Energy range of colours?

RE: Hoarders

Solagard now offers a range of alternative Cool Smart TechnologyTM tint formulations which have been specifically developed to reduce the exterior surface temperature of your home. This technology helps minimise the energy needed to maintain your home at a comfortable temperature in warmer weather and can reduce outdoor surface temperatures by up to 5oC.
For maximum benefit with Cool Smart TechnologyTM colours, an initial coat of Solagard White should be applied. Temperature reduction varies depending on the colour chosen, and is in comparison to the same colour tinted to the standard tint formulation. Dark colours show the biggest difference in surface temperature. However, lighter colours will give best heat reflection.
These colours may vary slightly from standard tinting. The LRV values for all Solagard colours are available upon request.

RE: atheist!! intelligence or foolishness??

If we serious not just a sheep like person and carefully examine (using logic and reason) to find a true self that exist just from its own side it is un-find-able.
If we closely examine our thought process, we soon find that we are all quite deluded.
Conclusion
Our nature is moving energy, our mind is dualistic.

RE: atheist!! intelligence or foolishness??

thumbs up laugh

RE: Hoarders

Ok thanks mate, been enjoying the cooler weather that came with the rain.

RE: Hoarders

The chain will fly off like that if you don’t keep it correctly tensioned. A new chainsaw chain always stretches during the first few uses, and you should promptly retention the chain to ensure that doesn’t occur because as you appear to have found out, is otherwise dangers.

Most of these Chinese saws are made from look alike parts including chains.
With the 5200 saw soon after I purchased it I happened to chat with a guy who fixes saws for a living, he recommended replacing the Chinese Sparkplug and Fuel Filter, which I did and have hard no problem with the saw what so ever.

Online I purchased a spare Carlton Chain, the correct size file guide, spare files and an Oregon Chainsaw Grease Gun, to grease the needle bearings in the Bars Tip.
From new grease the tip (small hole each side) also I add a little extra two-stroke oil to the fuel 25 to 1 mix, (200mil to 5 litre) I toss an extra dollop for good measure.
Before first use I also dribble chain oil along the chain before use to ensure that’s well lubricated.
