1-6-2011 Even though Hiva'Oa and all of its so very kind people are real beautiful, Guppy and I have travel urges again.. There is nothing that will hold us. Guppy feels clean and tidy, the water tanks are full and - not the least that's for sure – I have real original French baguettes on board. Today I will hoist my anchors for the 770 nautical miles route to Tahiti [1426 kilometres or 886 land miles]. With all the reefs and many atolls that lie just above the water surface this will a bit more difficult run! Most of the yachts are staying here for quite some time and so this means that each one goes his own way. And so it is time to go meet new people and to visit more Pacific islands.
Had chip butties for lunch (the deep fryer is bit gigger thanneeded but works great), the pressure cooker is silently simmering away tempting my tummy to the delights within...any chief worth his/her weight would surely gladly throw self upon broken glass just to marvel at the pressure cooker, never lone taste its simmering content, carrot, parsnip, onion, garlic, part of a swede, tin green peas, tin tomato puree and packet sheep-shank dinner.
Koori, Ngunnawal, Murri, Murrdi, Nyungar, Yamatji, Wangai, Nunga, Anangu, Yapa, Yolngu, Tiwi, Anindilyakwa, Palawah, the Convicts, all Pacific Nations including New Zealand who choose to call Australia home as set out under the original Constitution Act. Any anybody else that three times calls Australia home
Maybe so, and in those exceptional circumstances they should apply through the correct channels. Yes?
But that's not what Jullia is saying, she appears to be saying best as i can tell they are sending back to Malaya everyone on the most recent boats to get the message out to refugees not to come here. Even when the Malay government says it hasn't agreed to the agreement yet. The whole idea to swap 800 for 4000 just doesn't add up, in my opinion its rubbish and un-Australian
Well if you were a Tamil fleeing... An Iranian who had upset the government there where there is no Office to apply for migration, or upset the Taliban, no place to apply there...don't have all the answers but many people caught as the smugglers, ex-refugees making a buck amongst lot of corruption. That doesn't mean to my mind there aren't genuine people fearing for there lives amongst them.
Oh i think there are many reasons why people try to get here. Some, probably more genuine than others, some may well have been at serious risk in there country or origin. Countries taken over by communists like Vietnam, when some western countries flaunted values or religious belief. Or bombs started falling from the sky, whatever motivates some one to take that sort of risk i don't know, probably as many reasons as refugees. Just because some one buys there way in, or fulfils desires of the greedy in this country, doesn't mean they are some one more needy than others. But shipping people off to a country that clearly over many years abuses human rights is un-Australian. I think a bigger issue is the intention some hold to change this country, and I've forgotten the threat China made to send hundreds of thousands of boat people here. But less than 3% why pick on them when there are clearly genuine people fleeing for there lives amongst them
I'm sure i would agree, i've listened to quite a few Tibetans, some of those proved from there own side that they were holder of the teachings from previous life. Dalai Lama is currently in his 14th incarnation as Dalai Lama. Thats not just words, he has proven from his own side he is in incarnation of the thirteenth. Reading how he proved that is quite interesting...
You might note i mentioned energy, not the body...
if you live long enough you might become aware of loosing your ability to hear, smell and see, eventually your breath will go out and not come back in... Your energy (only) will enter the Bardo, a white clear light state without thought, two other states follows before you become aware of some one slapping your weee bottom... thats what i think you will get to observe if you die a natural death
oh the other direction, yeah pity, snowy river is in the other direction, they actually filmed part of the Man from Snowy River up above where i lived in NSW, on the Combyone near Taree
