RE: did they have to kill them?

In the main the non violence agreement has held and thats got to be a good start

RE: did they have to kill them?

Nehru Gandhi teaching of non violence was accepted and put in place along the southern boarder between Lebanon and Israeli and the West Bank and in the main it has stayed the course. But Almott (spelling) was discredited and pushed. The people in the Gaza strip decided to continue there violence and the whole world witness the sadness that causes.
However that an agreement was reached and some have noticed the benefit of that agreement so hope is not all lost

RE: did they have to kill them?

i think people still posting in thread agree with you in that
but the answer is allusive

RE: did they have to kill them?

there are no winners in any war. You comment on Afghanistan, what the poor in India, the kids pulling ox carts in Calcutta, the number of States violence is occurring in India today. Yes lots of stupidity going on in Afghanistan, what about the attacks in Bomb Bay?
Nehru Gandhi promoting non violence walked across India and through the British out, and was soon after killed because someone wanted something other than Gandhi's plan for India.
The streets of many countries throughout the developed world suffer from violence to.

Its not just Afghanistan bollywood its widespread negative killing karmas going on right across the world

RE: did they have to kill them?

or do you blow a train up in India and kill hundreds, its wide spread, not just Afghanistan, Kashmir, Iraq, Nepal, Burma, South America, Southern Thailand, Tibet, its everywhere bollywood

RE: did they have to kill them?

Yeah look at what WikiLeaks has achieved, however moving the worlds population to reject violence and teach the young more positive outlooks, stop the Mullahs, the Pal Pots the advocates a communist form of government, religious communities promoting violence, the computer games etc How do you stop that

Obama pledges to investigate Afghan Massacre at Dasht-e-Leili

RE: did they have to kill them?

There are some news reports available eg

THE bones are bleached white now, as though they had lain here for centuries. But these human remains are only months old; the last proof of the existence of young men who had expected the protection of the Geneva conventions and, instead died horribly, either from suffocation or by summary execution.

"Did U.S. Forces Allow a Massacre of 3,000 Taliban Prisoners to Occur?" BuzzFlash asks Jamie Doran, Producer-Director of "Afghan Massacre: The Convoy of Death"

RE: did they have to kill them?

There is David Hicks an Australian Taliban captured and I think he was taken out of the old ford on the grounds of his nationality, ended up in Cuba and has since been returned to Australia, He's nothing that i know of, but the killings in the fort was reported in internationality, went on for a few days

RE: did they have to kill them?

The United Nations stated they have witness to the mass murder of over 3000 stuffed in containers under the supervision of American Special Forces and Americans were present when over 8000 unarmed prisoners were slaughtered in an old fort

RE: did they have to kill them?

Yeah there should be an international agreement that all countries must stop killing, politicians shouldn't be allowed to command anybody to engage in an armed conflict other than of course defending there own soil. Religion should be banned and America should be forced to be a signatory to the World Court. The United Nations veto system should be abolished

RE: did they have to kill them?

It is I think hard to know what the motivation for going in really was. In first instance Bin Laden family ties to Bush.
Saudi Arabian and Egyptians retaliated against the attacks in Iraq and it is said Bin Laden was involved in that, but where the truth lies is anybodies guess. The Taliban were hanging and abusing hundreds and thousands of Afghans and of course abusing the human rights of women on a grand scale while enforcing there version of Islam.
Bush decided to kill hundreds and thousands to. Certainly 11,000 unarmed Taliban prisoners of war were murdered as well as all the bombing etc…

Women doctor killed in the attack made statements about women business in our news tonight.

Its all craziness, its my view young Americans and soldiers of other nations are by virtue of the laws of cause and affect are over there making karma to take future rebirth in the place.

RE: did they have to kill them?

Some say the oil in (i dunno spelling) Uzbekistan or next door might be reason Russia and now America (and its flunkies) want control over Afghanistan as the oil could then be piped through the country to the sea

RE: did they have to kill them?

The war is not just been prosecuted by violence the grand plan is to win over the hearts and minds of the people, which was attempted in Vietnam.
The Afghan president (an Afghani) was imported back into Afghanistan from Portugal imported and propped by Bush.

RE: did they have to kill them?

how on earth did the Taliban take power?

Taliban came from Pakistan, it wasn't an Afghan sect but was home grown in Pakistan and set its self up after the Russian were defeated.

Trying to win the hearts and minds of the people using Christian doctors in my mind is the same as sending gun slingers in, its as much a part the current stupid attempt to install external power over the region as dropping bombs.

You cannot change the Karmas of people born in that region like that. But then that sort of thinking is clearly to complicated for sheep to understand.

RE: Fate?...Karma?...Effort?

I believe to travel along life's paths, we are well advised to seek out a qualified guild.

Something while reading a post in this thread that came to my mind.

Some people say Tibet was medieval state or something.
However I noticed they imprisoned murders in a compound straight out the found of the Patala so they could spend the rest of there life with a front row seat.
They put a sort of oxen Yoke on the shoulders of thieves that restrained the thieves hands. That meant the person became completely reliant on fellow human brothers and sisters for all his/her needs, to pee, eat whatever...
We all think we know, there lays the rot

RE: Fate?...Karma?...Effort?

I spent quite a lot of time studying the view held by HH Dalai Lama (HHDL), some how sent me into international debate and got me to construct a UN document on behalf his government in exile. Was once upon-a-time masquerading as a director of a Temple that got unlawfully sold. So i am trying explain I've actually studied a bit and have for many years looked into the subject matter of this thread. On the other hand I'm just a guy, a Vietnam Veteran i tried to find some understanding that made sense...cant spell for nuts...

If we still our minds and closely examine in what way do i exist, what is the true nature of my being. I find ever changing cells, toenails the grow, hair the grows, skin that falls off, food digestion, bones made of minerals, thoughts that change, all of it impermanent.

Then what is my nature?

RE: Fate?...Karma?...Effort?

My interpretation of the word Karma is moving energy. Our true nature having given careful consideration to the nature of my physical being leads me to agree the "I" cannot be found. From that deduction i agree our true nature is moving energy, subtle winds driven by the laws of cause and affect. Without cause nothingness.

The way we react to the changes that occur is creating the outcome of our reactions. So if for example i develop anger then the ongoing experience from such a reaction build on anger. On the other hand if i accept i myself created the seed that ripened in interdependence i'm able to more easily develop compassion etc while the seeds of my tomorrows

RE: cowboys

first met Brown Swiss in Switzerland, had job handing milking 27 cows during the winter in a million dollar barn, later came across Brown Swiss here in Australia and bred a few in NSW. Really interesting cows, they have membrane over there eyes that protects the eye from sunlight. There DNA tracks the breed back to Afghanistan. High protein, long life there pregnancy is about 2 half weeks over the 9 months.
