RE: Evolution Vs Creation

It’s not to hard to deuce just by looking at the numbers alone, the majority of sentient beings taking birth in any one-day, far excides in numbers those obtaining birth with human form.
Probably i would agree in any one-day more prawns alone are born than humans…
Listening to music or otherwise fretting away our precious opportunity to utilize our enhanced human ability to reason. Even just once in our lives not making space for a sensible debate. Or blindly accepting either of the mainstream religious viewpoints on face value without looking at other views, waists away a precious opportunity for serious consideration of the nature of our circumstance.

After the leaves have been harvested they are placed on racks in a steam distiller. The oil comes out of the leaves and then floats on top of water in a collection tank. The oil is then filtered and poured into a container.

RE: DANGEROUS ANIMALS OF AUSTRALIA

After few days you’ll be enjoying yourself so much you will have forgotten all about those.
You can bet your life most local councils don’t bother to put up warning signs that stone-fish lurk among the stones, so please be careful when wading around stones, remember the weather forecaster is bound to say that you should expect a nice sunny day with really good surf expected. Sailing in Queensland is second to none, 15 knots to 27 knots trade winds, though 64 knots can un-expectedly drop in from quite frequent thunderstorms.
If in Northern New South Wales or Queensland please try to remember that the shellback tick will give you a whooping headache. They often do kill dogs.
The large Huntsmen spider only looks fearsome and won’t usually bother you.
You probably forgot in your list the Mosquitoes, Ross-river fever etc, lots of that.
Then there is millions of tiny midges near the mangroves some people suffer serious allergic reaction from Midges.
There are plenty of Bull Ants and Jumping Antes in the scrub that can cause you quite a lot of pain.
And of course don’t smoke the skin of the Cane-Toad or bite its head, as it can also kill you.
A guy died last year died in Victoria from a Scorpion Sting…
Watch when crossing the road as we drive on the left-hand side of the road.
Enjoy your stay

RE: Evolution Vs Creation

Even in one family, each family member engages in different activities, each member at one level or other, engages in unwholesome activities, or somewhere in-between more positive activities.
Perhaps can we agree thar everybody one-way or other runs there own race and is therefore an individual?

Perhaps our length of life depends on our individual merit, a merit field that determines how long we experience our current temporary human experience.
To me clearly sentient beings having other than human form far exceed in numbers those that enjoy our current but temporary enhanced human life experience and level of ability to reason.
Whereas the birds, cat’s dogs, fish, cows etc, (beings that also have mind and fear death) far exceed humans in numbers at any one time. The birds, cat’s dogs, fish, cows etc, as we can see they die to.
Perhaps if we consider how much of this one lifetime using our minds we ourselves actually expended trying to determine what is or is-not ultimate truth?
I think its possible some of us probably have waisted away some of our life doing other things...
Most humans even with there full facilities and considered as normal are more often than not caught up in mindless worldly activities. Perhaps some of us are to close-minded wasting away our life listening to music, falling in and out of love, or playing with our toys, to close-minded to carefully investigate the views of all others we come across, on the meaning of life.

you need to click on the green cross to install the immunize

RE: Computer Virus Threat

you might need to select different download site for the Spybot updates. From time to time some of the recommend sites don't seem to work, just go back and select another site.
I update Spybot every couple weeks

RE: Computer Virus Threat

Yes I assure you i trust Kaspersky %100
in the past upgrading from to a newer version caused me some heart aches but the Russians were ok by the end of it all. Now they have US Europe and Australian support sites and i am quite happy to recommend.
Recently i purchased a Seagate External drive and also paid for Ture Image Home software to make full and part images of all my computer, which means in short time you can quickly restore back to date of image made. I like what that does to.
Windows recently forced me to install IE8 as IE7 was not made for Vista. Once you fully install there updates they forced that on me and updated second time to SP1 for vista which in directly cause me heart problems and the Seagate was money well spent

RE: Computer Virus Threat

I brought Mailwasher when it cost US$9, its now i think US$36
Kaspersky first year you pay more, think around US$90, then is cheaper each year after. Some times you can get free six month trail of Kaspersky.
Spybot is free though they ask for donation, which I've made twice.
Same with Cclean free donation if you want I've made donation for that run there Defraggler and Recuva programs to

Mailwasher allows you to read first twenty lines of any incoming mail, it will detect some visrus, and tells whether has attachments etc, allows you to delete unopened straight off the server and will block sender etc.
Kaspersky ofers the full monty, Its a very comprehensive anti-virus program...its isn't to intrusive and there good to work with...

RE: Computer Virus Threat

Yes Dan probably MONEY, i have a Vista computer and like it. However have turned off all Windows security including its firewall.
My security is frontline Mailwasher so i can vet all incoming mail. Kaspersky checks all mail, runs a fire wall and around protects my computers for many years. Its good mate but cost money. Next i have Spybot which i like and I use Ccleaner to keep the computer clean.

RE: Computer Virus Threat

Your Browser is likely been hijacked, this is the correct address to download SpyBot

RE: Computer Virus Threat

Google search for Stopzilla is followed with this text

Try STOPZilla Free for 15 Days or Save $10 for a Limited Time.

RE: Computer Virus Threat

Kaspersky offers a free online VIRUS SCAN, they will scan your computer for free and clean any virus for free..

I agree Ccleaner is an excellent program but Dan has detected he has a virus

RE: Computer Virus Threat

I use Ccleaner all the time, but Dan its not an Anti-Virus program, the first "C" stands for "Crap"cleaner, deletes Windows rubbish and cleans registry
Go to Kaspersky mate

RE: Computer Virus Threat

Hi Dan
I use free Spybot and "Kaspersky Internet Security Services" First ever Anti-Virus program was made by Mr Kaspersky, does cost money however you can get a free Kaspersky online scan by going to kaspersky.com (its an excellent Russian program.
Google offer free anti-virus program called ClamWin, and i think best free program i know of is Avast, its free and includes fire wall to.

Not to keen on Ad Aware, think Spybot is much better.

RE: Evolution Vs Creation

I agree with most of what Ralf74 has said. At age 17 i was recruited by an All Black for service in the NZ army, i think in hindsight, because i had put others up on a pedestal. Whom i had foolishly trusted and lead to believe or perceived this was correct or was right etc.
I had attended Sunday school, bible class and trusted some i now know were deeply deluded, and never to be trusted again.
After many problems directly related to 13 months in Vietnam, i traveled around the world x 3.
During that time I met Tibetans in northern India and Nepal and later herein Australia. I listened to what they had to say, and over the past twenty years have been involved in some political debates.
In 1989 at Adelaide Dalai Lama lit a flame that he gave to an Anglican Bishop who handed the flame to me to explain interdependent arising. So its fair to say i do hold views others might find confronting. John Howard did, so did George Bush, few others to.
WHAT IF: we are the creator of our tomorrows, if hell is experienced by beings in the here and now, and not just sometime after death.
WHAT If, each of use is responsible for our own happiness.
Ask yourself who makes most of the wars and who in your life can you really trust.
Without hot we could not possibly perceive cold, in the same light this life's past experience are also most useful.

We all want happiness...so useful to explore what is useful knowledge and what should be discarded. An open mind carefully watched.
Surely we are what we think and engage in, therefore surely its useful that we do take time to find an acceptable level of understanding while we have an opportunity to do so.

RE: computer advice needed please

I think Vista is better than XP, but then i much preferred 98se to XP to.
One feature i really like about Vista is its ability to run my old Office 2000 Premium in the operating system mode it was made to work on, 2000.
Office 2000 works fine; I have it encased in SP1, Sp2 and SP3 net-frame-work within Vista. Spent quite a lot of money purchasing Office 2000 upgrade program and I didn't want to buy another thanks Bill!!

I am enjoying Vista, first purchased an Acer however took that back to HN and shelled more for the Toshiba.

Once you turn off all the Windows permissions, Firewall and Anti-spam, then Vista is really great, very stable, and a pleasant operating system to use.
Its true some software like my Canon scanner required an updated driver and updated software before it would work at all, but Canon has all that no worries. I was really peeved to find Gates had blocked in Home Basic and Premium, the codes for faxing from the computer. However I managed to find a shareware program that was able to install a fax driver in the printer folder. However was further peeved that you can't use the Vista backup program. Not in Home Basic or Premium...though Office (something) runs a daily file back up onto the Seagate.

Besides all of that, including the recent IE7 to IE8 upgrade, err, and the many gigabits of updates...
Its really a very good operating system...i enjoy it, i love it.

Think you might be concerned Gates might make other features in the next OS which we've enjoyed in the past, even more expensive to obtain...
In short what I was trying to explain in my earlier post in relation to Seagate backups, making IMAGE rather than just file back up's. In my mind is the way to go...in half an hour you can put back a complete image of your whole computer when the s..t happens...
Vista is ok in my books
Robert

RE: computer advice needed please

Brought a Toshiba A200 a year ago with Vista OS and I like it. However a lot of the software it came bundled with was never made for Vista.
Windows update has just forced removal of IE 7 and replaced it with IE8. Windows update then re-installed the netframwork and again installed SP1. Quite a messy couple of weeks before that was sorted.

During the process i stuffed up the bootup by trailing backup boot management software Paragon and True Image Home boot managers. Tried twice and never again, on both occasions ended formatting computers hard drive...errr
However having a 750 gig Seagate external drive, three days ago I shelled out MONEY for an upgrade of the otherwise ok and free downloaded Seagate Disk Wizard software, which only works if it can detect a Seagate product on your computer, however the free software didn't allow the making of an image of only part of your computers hard drive, there Acronis upgrade-product (money) "True Image Home" upgrades the Seagate Image making software, (there is of course also file backup software (not image) which you get with your External HD) however True Image makes an excellent job of creating whole or part image of any part of your computer. Including the hidden Toshiba partition.
So probably you might like to give thought to that to
best wishes u all
Robert
