RE: which religion is oldest throught out the world and first in earth

WekipediA explanation includes:-

Although the Mahayana movement traces its origin to Gautama Buddha, scholars believe that it originated in India in the 1st century CE, or the 1st century BCE. Scholars think that Mahayana only became a mainstream movement in India in the fifth century CE, since that is when Mahayanic inscriptions started to appear in epigraphic records in India. Before the 11th century CE (while Mahayana was still present in India), the Mahayana Sutras were still in the process of being revised. Thus, several different versions may have survived of the same sutra. These different versions are invaluable to scholars attempting to reconstruct the history of Mahayana.

RE: which religion is oldest throught out the world and first in earth

Siddhartha Gautama, known as the Buddha is said in Buddhist records to be the third appears of the Buddha. The first Buddha appeared many thousands of years before Siddhartha Gautama did.
Buddhist records also record India was a great seat of Buddhism that was until a bunch of Moslem's invaded whats now known as India, and slaughtered all the Buddhist, took many months to behead them all, (nice people i think not) and they also destroyed all the temples and scriptures.

Athisha went from whats now known as India to whats now known as Sumatra (guess who again followed), where Athisha completed studies before taking the Mahayana Buddhist teachings practiced by the Tibetans.
Since 1954 \1964 China invaded Tibet and one wonders whats next.
Hope helps

If developing mind towards benefiting others brings true happiness, then using the same logic and reason does it not means thinking for ones own happiness only causes us feelings of lose and loneliness.

We stroll down the road and buy a house without first living in it.
We stroll down the road and take advice from government officials, lawyers and shop keeps to without doing anything other than listening to them.

Yet recording with the state who your sleeping with requires months or years of trial before your able to commit yourself to another person. Your all nuts

What is the nature of Greece’s derivatives based financial problems?

For anybody that's interested

In a letter to the institutions, the Athens-based central bank said Greek lenders as a whole had borrowed amounts that were proportionally greater than other countries in the 16- nation euro area, the Web site said, without saying where it got the information. Greek banks have borrowed a total of 42 billion euros ($63 billion) of the 570 billion euros the ECB has pumped into the system, according to Euro2day.

What is the nature of Greece’s derivatives based financial problems?

Thank you for taking the time to explain your view, however i think above what your government did with the available funds there remains deep concerns related to derivative trading it engaged in, the following is some of what publicly expressed...

Greek banks have borrowed about 40 billion euros from the European Central Bank (ECB), using Greek government bonds as collateral. The Greek National Bank since the beginning of November increased its investments in these bonds to 18 billion euros.

What then to make of this report in Der Spiegel that Goldman Sachs actually helped the Greek government hide its debt? What to say about Goldman Sachs helping to create a financial crisis?
This is how it worked. The Greek government borrowed in dollars and yen, and that was swapped back into the original currency at a later date. Nothing unusual about that, governments do that all the time. But Goldman Sachs did a deal where the Greeks got more than what their Euros were worth and in that way, they got additional credit for up to $1 billion. And now for the dirty bit. The extra money was classified as a cross currency swap so under the accounting rules, it doesn't show up as debt. In other words, Goldman Sachs engineered a deal where the Greeks took on more debt without it showing up in their books. Goldman Sachs helped pull off some accounting shenanigans and now the world, in particular Germany, is paying the price.

Goldman Sachs helped the Greek government to mask the true extent of its deficit with the help of a derivatives deal that legally circumvented the EU Maastricht deficit rules. At some point the so-called cross currency swaps will mature, and swell the country's already bloated deficit.

That pages goes on to answer some of the questions i have been thinking about e.g.
But in the Greek case the US bankers devised a special kind of swap with fictional exchange rates. That enabled Greece to receive a far higher sum than the actual euro market value of 10 billion dollars or yen. In that way Goldman Sachs secretly arranged additional credit of up to $1 billion for the Greeks.

This credit disguised as a swap didn't show up in the Greek debt statistics. Eurostat's reporting rules don't comprehensively record transactions involving financial derivatives. "The Maastricht rules can be circumvented quite legally through swaps," says a German derivatives dealer.

In previous years, Italy used a similar trick to mask its true debt with the help of a different US bank. In 2002 the Greek deficit amounted to 1.2 percent of GDP. After Eurostat reviewed the data in September 2004, the ratio had to be revised up to 3.7 percent. According to today's records, it stands at 5.2 percent.

At some point Greece will have to pay up for its swap transactions, and that will impact its deficit. The bond maturities range between 10 and 15 years. Goldman Sachs charged a hefty commission for the deal and sold the swaps on to a Greek bank in 2005.

otherside the fence:

China is now the largest holder of US Treasury securities at $790 billion.

What is the nature of Greece’s derivatives based financial problems?

Yes i wonder where Rudd borrowed Labour Parties spending from

What is the nature of Greece’s derivatives based financial problems?

There are lots of local councils here in Australia that brought into the derivative marked Steve, though i clearly say i have a problem understanding the doggy assurance aspect of derivatives as that opens a can of worm far exceeding the world cash reserves.
Beside those issues what is also been raised is a conflict the world may not be able to handle

What is the nature of Greece’s derivatives based financial problems?

hehehehe, it came from the US, the current round of derivative problems within the EU were recently instruments released from script held by the Lehman Bro bank receiver.
I know its not fair to blame the US of A for derivative but Regan economics set the banks loose in 1984, me think the Hunt Brothers stunt backed by the Fed sunk the gold market in the first place.
But then whether that is so or not still doesn't address what China thinks its gunner do does it?

What is the nature of Greece’s derivatives based financial problems?

Yes i agree, and think as many people as possible should pay attention to whats currently going down as its not looking good mate

RE: Dregs of society....Is that us?

I try to doh cheers

What is the nature of Greece’s derivatives based financial problems?

Hehe yeah mate, though seems quite likely they do this:
the economic history of Russia going way back to the suspension of the implied obligations issued with the Russian Bonds, and what might soon happen under international law to the Bonds China so smugly holds,
After declaration of a world war, cause the derivatives probably sent the world wide money system into ever bigger spin

RE: Dregs of society....Is that us?

Gives a chance to meet someone special when no other opportunity seems likely. I first hated the forums but more recently see its good to exchange with others on them, even if we seldom agree

What is the nature of Greece’s derivatives based financial problems?

Greenland’s government appears to have decided to wait the outcome of a proposed referendum whether or not Greenlanders will have to repay contractual obligations arising from derivative based obligations the countries people signed up to.

This evening I listened to an American discussion on the nature of Greece’s financial problems. I couldn’t quite get a grip of the repayment insurance aspect on the repayment of (I think) a total 28 Billion.
The bit I’m also having a problem getting my head around is the apparent ongoing augment relating to the cost of those insured funds to repay Greece obligations w and something about if it is actually able to be repaid, then that lets loose an estimated 124 Billion on German banks, also other demands on French, Spanish, Portuguese and other EU banks.

Is there an expert on here that understands what on earth all that might actually mean?

RE: Something Funny Just happened

I got stung earlier this year, gave out email etc, the story was incredible, i checked the address given by phoning her neighbour and that checked out, have phone number, mobile, bank account details so parted with a few bob (500). Still didn't seem right so chatted with the local plod, he jumped on compu, previous convictions obtaining money by deception. Let CS know, then received phone call bringing to my attention was my vet affairs pension day and hers wasn't till next week, than asked what I'd been doing today. Told her been police station complaining i'd been scammed and she went off her rocker, hehe, said someone else near her had the same name, swore black and blue wasn't her and i had no right to tell CS that, I should apologise, write and tell them it was someone else. And while i was doing that the phone rang again and i asked her how do you spell deny. Advised CS further my earlier correspondence i didn't know what to believe. Really didn't actually.
Anyway (take out the gaps)
i notice lots of you say; Im A Lady

RE: 3 months sightseeing.......

I've 4x4 and camper trailer that I've traveled quite lot in. January is during the cyclone season, which would mean very hot and sticky, flooded roads, can't swim in the sea because of stingers, no good in tent.
You might consider starting at Melbourne rather than Cairns, by working your way north from there you would be in Queensland later when its a bit cooler. Winter in Queensland is the best time to be up there.
You can hire campers, all the highway Cairns to Melbourne is tared so no need for 4x4.
Port Douglas, Mission Beach, Whitsundays, are nice, also Hervey Bay and Tin Can Bay are ok to, however from then on traffic and more traffic, freeways, houses and more traffic, be good idea to head inland a bit after Tin Can Bay. The whole way down the Coast has an Escapement just a few km's inland from the coast. You might consider skirting around the more populated areas and head up onto the escapement, there is quite a few roads that go from the coast up onto the escapement all of them support magnificent outlooks, lovely bush and much quieter driving conditions.
