RE: I need some help here

you can scratch the out'a shin of a green paw-paw, dab bit the white sap that comes out onto it for few days, will slowly burn it off

RE: Are we going to III World war???

Its the taxes and lack of rain here that stops production of cookies in Australia. Government insures small family farms go broke and seed companies changed plants so they only grow using sprays made elsewhere and it doesn't rain cause they keep telling the Rain Gods waters drying up...

RE: Are we going to III World war???

Well if everyone eat cookies instead of engaging violence the world would be much better off../i agree

RE: Are we going to III World war???

I don't think so, the EU issued a declaration of war in 2006 over an incident in Tibet however since then, there has been a great deal of improvement and a number of changes in international affairs.
In relation to Iran, for some time now Iran has threatened to close a waterway carrying lots and lots of oil.
The Somalian pirates possibly representing the teachings of Islam one can only suppose, have been meddling in the free passage of ships, and so an armada of naval ships has been site seeing in the area for quite some time.
Last week a most senior Iranian religious leader, stated Iran had no Nuclear Bomb development intentions. However thats been challenged as been nothing other than a lie...

Pakistan falling apart and probably remains a trigger for the event you see opinions on.

Iran, no they either back down or some dust might rise, but no not WW3, no they be miscalculating if they continue with the stupidity of launching missiles. Take look at the countries with the naval ships on site and you might ascertain what support Iran doesn't have.

RE: who will protect iIran

With the discovery of the neutron in the early 1930s, a scientific race began between Ernest Rutherford in Britain, Irene Joliot-Curie in France, Enrico Fermi in Italy, and the Meitner-Hahn team in Berlin. None suspected that this research would culminate in nuclear weapons.
In 1940, Japan occupied French Indochina (Vietnam) upon agreement with the French Vichy government, and joined the Axis powers Germany and Italy. That intensified a conflict with the United States and Great Britain, which reacted with an oil boycott. The resulting oil shortage and failures to solve the conflict diplomatically made Japan decide to capture the oil rich Dutch East Indies (Indonesia) and to start a war with the US and Great Britain.
In December 1941, Japan attacked Pearl Harbour and several other points throughout the Pacific.
Atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki occurred after six months of intense fire-bombing of 67 other Japanese cities, the nuclear weapon "Little Boy" was dropped on the city of Hiroshima on Monday, August 6, 1945, and followed on August 9 by the detonation of the "Fat Man" nuclear bomb over Nagasaki.

Iran has voluntarily revealed the existence of a facility near the city of Qom in a letter dated the Sept. 21 and delivered to the International Atomic Energy Agency.
American President flanked by French and British leaders have denounced Tehran’s secret work. A satellite image showed a well-fortified facility built into a mountain just over 30 kilometres northeast of Qom, with ventilation shafts and is located near a surface-to-air missile site. Iranian nuclear chief Ali Akbar Salehi has made a statement that contained a hard-line message ahead of the crucial talks this week with the U.S. and other world powers. Iran says it will not give up its ability to produce nuclear fuel. However emerging details about the secret site near the city of Qom have heightened suspicions Iran is trying to build a nuclear bomb.
We will see won't we?

RE: If God is very forgiving, why Adam was immediately expelled from the Garden?

And of course there are people like myself who think there is not even the slightest chance of there being a one god or so called one creator.
Not even a buckles...
For thousand of years people have been killing each other in places like Afghanistan, why? Because the beings there have taking rebirth created by cause and affect for that sort of suffering experience. To think that some clown up in the sky is responsible for the suffering going on there is at the very least very very simplistic.

The causes being created as we watch, by those making and planting or dropping bombs creates with certainty in my mind, future experience of like sufferings in a constant cyclical that is had to free oneself from. Though they might mean well, those dishing up the thought to cause harm to others, will of course also reap what they sow to.
To think because someone is elected to a high office such as both Bush's were, or John Howard or any other promoter of the conflicts like Vietnam, Iraq or Afghanistan are anything other than deeply deluded mare mortals, is very likely a big mistake.
Following there sort of advice caused the outcome Vietnam Veterans suffered in direct consequence of believing in there rubbish. Given few years...oh we cant win, pack up and come home till some other clown dreams up another conflict, then get young kids who haven't had time to consider other views and feed them a load of crap and practice the latest gear out on some poor nation elsewhere.
Oh and how dear they hit back, can the justice system and engage crimes against humanity on a grand scale.

I have fought in courts and tribunals constantly over past twenty years. Just pace your self, one day at a time. You might also consider meditation, its possible to redress problems with health utilizing certain practices that way to.
I sincerely hope you stay your ground, don't let them wear you down, as much as possible put the past in the past and deal with what there is to deal with, one step at a time.

RE: HELP........

Hi, probably you can appeal the decision the government department made. Usually there is an appeal process if that hasn't been explained to you, write to the department. You might like to check online for contact details or from the correspondence you got, and either write a letter or email a request for information explaining your right of appeal with the decision made by the department and see what they have say.
Remember squeaky door gets the oil...write to your local member explaining the likely impact of that decision and request his\her intervention.

RE: Stress relief ideasand suggestions

its more they feel compassion and know there is a problem and knowing no other way to deal with the terrible stats they use humour to mask it?
Might mean that some have different understandings for the word compassion, religious views are usually quite different to other more mindful interpitations.
In my mind compassion is understanding problems have there interdependant arising by virtue the certainty of the laws of cause and affect.
Each and every one of us have problems arising from those, wouldn't be here if we didn't.
Perhaps in relation to people feeling so down they turn to harming themselves, or taking there lives. Probably comes from ignorance of the nature of our being. Bottling things up a lot, feeling isolated, unable to find a way out or some impermanent thought.
I think comes from lack of understanding of the true nature of self, our shared human experience, also of course, lack of understanding of the interdependent arising of our problems.
Perhaps perhaps others are not putting aside enough time and useful support for welfare of the younger generation because they are so busy trying to make a buck...when i lived in NSW the local area (then) of around 35,00 people, had something like 23 young people top them selves every year, most appeared to be teenage kids of the middle class making money club, but not all.
As I've so bravely stated in another thread here in connecting singles. Our own happiness is our own responsibility. To expect others to maintain our happiness for us is a form of insanity. Of course we all try, but I think in reality ones own happiness is every individuals own responsibility.
Compassion should i believe, be directed to understanding others like ourselves, have and do no doubt continue to create the cause for suffering in consequences of there (our) own past and collective activities.
Breathing meditation gives the mind and body space thereby bringing our whole being back in balance...

Im not sure who or what your talking about here really?

Don't worry I've been called that for many years...might as well!!

RE: Stress relief ideasand suggestions

Well yes, two parents I know suffered 18 year olds topping them selves, another I knew was found eating excreta.
Myself I’ve had to over come heightened levels of stress from army experience. It’s pretty obvious to me that each and every one of us definitely has a responsibility in the widest sense to be mindful of our fellow brothers and sisters.
These forums indicate the state of our minds. To make little of such serious problems within our community demonstrates a complete lack of compassion and personal responsibility. Understanding the nature of our self-cherishing minds is of course the first step towards personally doing something about it. Thereby reinforcing our own personal commitment to develop a responsibility to not just talk rubbish all the time, and from my side take the insults in these forums with a grain of salt from small number individuals constantly hogging the threads in connecting singles forums.

RE: Stress relief ideasand suggestions

The posts in this thread "Stress Relief Ideas and Suggestions"! should be read by all members on connecting singles.
This to...
THERE was a 51 per cent increase in the rate of young women intentionally self-harming between 1996 and 2006, which peaked in the 15- to 17-year-old age group, according to the first Australian Institute of Health and Welfare report on injuries.

The report, Injury Among Young Australians, published today, said the female rate for self-harming for ages 12 to 24 was at least twice as high as that for males between 1996-97 and 2005-06.

But young males had a much higher suicide rate. In 2005 it was almost four times that of young females, with 13 per 100,000 deaths compared with three.

The rate of intentional self-harm for young males and females increased by 43 per cent in the decade to 2006, from 138 per 100,000 to 197.

RE: Stress relief ideasand suggestions

I’ve often used mantra.
Also I use a breathing exercise that really gives the mind a rest.
If we watch our mind, maybe then you would observe a constant flow of thoughts keep passing by. Best as I can tell, we grasp one for a while, then another etc without finding any resolve to any of them, we just keep skipping into the next thought…endless unless we do something about that process we go round and round.

Try this, breath in through the left nostril and breathe out through the right 11 times. Then breathe in through the right nostril and out through the left a 11 times.
Then breathe in through both and out both 11 times.
Do that three times….if you find yourself grasping onto a thought, then start counting all over again…

I found that exercise quite hard, took me at least three months to get the hang of doing it. But now can do any time at all. Leaves your whole body feeling refreshed to.

Takes bit of effort, but worked peace and less stress

RE: are most chinese girls uncomfortable to say I LOVE YOU

There used to be a Subaru owners website, which had available a computer theme that revered up windows nicely. Revering motors, squealing brakes etc. Still have it installed on old 98se and sounds great.

Thinking of self is in my opinion the root course of our suffering. If thinking to benefit others, there is no time to "oh the world worries me"!

Expecting someone else to maintain our own happiness is plainly crazy. Its every bodies responsibility to look after there own happiness. To put that responsibility onto some one else is in my view insanity...

RE: soldier boy looking for friends

I'm a Vietnam Vet Jack, go with your feelings mate. Keep an eye on your feelings and take care.

RE: are most chinese girls uncomfortable to say I LOVE YOU

Seems to me the words “I love you” contain a hidden agenda. Something like, if you feed my self-interest I’ll like you for doing it.
If you don’t then I divorce you.
I often wonder how we all in a general sense seek happiness from outside our selves instead of taking responsibility for our own happiness.

RE: I need a place to pour out my trouble!!!

wave

RE: I need a place to pour out my trouble!!!

your paintings show a desire you clearly feel. Well you've put that out, given it legs, its on its way, back to benefiting others cause the seeds have been sown

RE: I need a place to pour out my trouble!!!

Helping others takes us away from our own self interest, in my studies i found life is truly suffering, deeper we look inside our own minds the more we are able to see how alone we actually are.
So better to engage as much as possible in benefiting others and stop dwelling on self

RE: I need a place to pour out my trouble!!!

maybe your shedding tears feeling your feelings, not because you dislike yourself at all

RE: I need a place to pour out my trouble!!!

Oh come on, your at least good minded person, that you like your self is enough

RE: I need a place to pour out my trouble!!!

Well your still smiling, your paintings look bright forward looking. Without make up your really cute, and you appear to post sensible subject matter. Keep on using this web and pour out your trouble if you feel comfortable doing that.

I'll listen

RE: i bet none of you have ever ridden a crocodile down to your local bank whats Austrialia really like

Its a lot saver riding a crocodile because at least while your still in the water the mosquitoes don't bite as much, certainly not as much as they do when riding a buffalo.
On the other end the scale, my mates daughter using an old law in Tasmania, paid her outstanding council rates with five chicken.

Everybody know Steve rode crocodiles all the way to the bank, the question is a no-brainier, of cause Aussies ride crocodiles to the bank...

RE: Are there any Barristers here on CS?

An expensive glorified lawyer that specializes in certain areas of law, usually pretty good at pleading during the trial process, they
commonly charge $1300 or more per hour, plus expensive's.

RE: Are there any Barristers here on CS?

Having had to represent myself over 20 years in a couple matters because a lawyer didn't do the right thing, and being otherwise refused legal aid, having myself had experience with complaints to the Law Society, the lawyers union; a complete waist of time.

My answer was in the first instance to purchase a law book setting out the Act relevant in the relevant matter. (remember the amendments)
Your either the applicant or respondent...I didn't know that much at the time...

You may like to get your own act together, British Law allows that; so then once your accepted by the court as acting for yourself, you might then gain access to the relevant court file. Presuming your lawyer is now with-holding your documents, they usually do...

Google whatever Act your matter relates to, and see if you can figure out the legal bla bla, represent yourself from now on if you can...
your welcome

RE: Evolution Vs Creation

It’s not to hard to deuce just by looking at the numbers alone, the majority of sentient beings taking birth in any one-day, far excides in numbers those obtaining birth with human form.
Probably i would agree in any one-day more prawns alone are born than humans…
Listening to music or otherwise fretting away our precious opportunity to utilize our enhanced human ability to reason. Even just once in our lives not making space for a sensible debate. Or blindly accepting either of the mainstream religious viewpoints on face value without looking at other views, waists away a precious opportunity for serious consideration of the nature of our circumstance.
