RE: whats great about where you live

spotted the cow licking soya off the calf, though had to push the calf onto cow this morning, as its probably never suckled cow before, thinks comes out of a bucket for past couple months, i've pretty much stayed away from it as the calf come over to me and tells me what she thinks, or whatever is going on in its head.
yesterday the poor cow was sitting with half rotten calf right in front her face as it had been rotting away inside her, anyway she now prefers soya source...hehe

RE: whats great about where you live

Miles and miles of mountain tracks and roads, littered with old gold mining relics, clear mountain streams, the wild life, constant changing weather pattens, wonderful views, wide open spaces and outlooks, quite country roads, very few nutters around here, friendly honest country folks.

RE: Good points.... Bad points. What are yours ? be honest.

I think the afflictions of like and dislike, e.g, judging others harshly, self-righteousness, holding solid what is not solid, are to my mind afflictions that causes a great suffering and distress, similarly living just for this one life time also causes a great deal of suffering and distress particularly at death time when you can’t take any friendship or martial wealth with you.
Nobody amongst us has had the same past experiences as our own self, each and every one of us utilizing our experience have or do tend to judge others based on our own perceptions, which is of course almost certainly short sighted and at worst deeply deluded.

I’ve had to look at some pretty negative aspects of my life, however harshly judging one self in confronting those negative aspects without looking at the interdependence would amount to utter stupidity.

To see bad in ones self or being stupid enough not to address our likes and dislikes that causes us and others great suffering and distress or confusion is not good, i can honestly say i've done my best to sort through any unwholesome activity i've found.
Hope you have to...

RE: bible 'bashers'

JC was around just 28 or maybe now 30 generations ago, which as far time mankind been around is a drop in the bucket, new storyline on the block,
I version i heard with the sermon on the mount, everybody that came to listen brought lunch along with them, fish and bread cause thats what they ate and JC just got them to share lunch together, Seems pretty reasonable story to me, but no doubt some one called him a saint
each to there own i think is an utterly flawed story flavoured some truths amongst it and therefore harmful

RE: Pet People

I had a Galloway pony in NSW, rode up steep mountain country which he was born and grew up on, he used to put his foot where i looked, and never in all the time i rode him slipped or did anything stupid. Otherwise he was pretty wild, mad as a meat axe you could say, but he had soft spot for peace bread, hehehe
you go to ALD Faithe?

RE: Pet People

I camped two half years alongside an access road and found all the birds, a wild cat and its usual litter, rabbits, sheep, alpaca and other creatures in time just accepted my presents. Currently i'm feeding an orphaned calf and just call it and comes running. Its my view its our selves that shut out others including humans which appears to be my worst failing

RE: Has America really been killed?

I understand your sentiments however would like to know what's been said in Islamabad. Personally i think the very top in the US are trying to give closure to those most adversely impacted on 11th Sept.
Are you trying to tell us America was ready to bomb Pakistan and that it would be possible to fly two Blackhawk undetected across the northern part of Pakistan into Islamabad? Andfly up to 40 seals a dog and Bin Ladens body out in one Blackhawk!!

I've been lied to all my life by people like Bush Howard and others i can think of and simply think they are talking crap whether you believe that or not is your problem not mine.

I've asked a question of simpleparadox and sincerely hope he gives us an honest answer
