The path to lasting happiness is obtained by developing a strong motivation to benefit others.
While we seek happiness for own self continue to experience unhappiness, even if we purchase nice new car bound up in time it'll break down, get scratched or whatever and not bring us lasting happiness at all. In developing good motivation to benefit other its not possible with our mind focused in that way to experience suffering in our own mind. Studying suffering with good motivation and true compassion (based on understanding interdependent arising) collectively we diffidently can benefit those starving suffering people in Africa. A kin to the power of prays. While at the same time considering the interdependent arising of a rebirth with little food we naturally develop more mindfulness of our own food habits and the likes.
Depression is not possible while our minds are directed towards benefiting others.
I believe we should be studying suffering,if your unable to understand its nature you cannot apply antidote, listening to music, comedy is a distraction from observing our minds. But then i guess most of you know better...
Its also possible if you are using dialup internet access (not trying to confuse) however as its occurred on to two different computers must be something in-common perhaps it could be coming from the telephone line. Used to be possible to get Telstra to test a telephone line for noise or other problems as you are experiencing difficulty connecting to your service provider.
yeah i don't like Windows Defender, I've got it completely disabled on mine.
Some times power spikes from electricity surge or a fault in the motherboard can cause sudden shut down, i've had a few on my laptop to, but when your getting the same sort of problem while on this site sounds to me more like something coming through an open port...
You can get free online checks on the computers security status
The Kaspersky Firewall operates on the basis of two types of rules:
Packet rules. They are used for posing restrictions on packets regardless of the application. Typically, such rules restrict incoming network activity on specified TCP and UDP ports and filter ICMP messages.
Application rules. They are used to set limits on network activity of a specified application. Such rules allow fine-tuning the activity filtering, for example, when a certain type of network connections is banned for some applications but is allowed for others.
Yeah if it isn't running a Fire Wall you could be being hit through open ports, sites like this could be monitored by scum trying to do things like that any even windows repair should fix any operating system problem
Does the Anti-Virus on it and yours to have a Fire Wall running?
no Ensay Store still hasn't sold, the Ensay Little River Inn has recently changed hands, no the IGA in Swifts Creek hasn't, the Post Office petrol station in Swifts Creek just changed hands
if your daughter allows you might download malwarebyte program and run its scan. I am using Google Chrome browser on here.
If your daughter ok's when you go off line you might try Start/Run and type in CHKDSK /r
That command will pop up a black Dos Box asking in part do you want that to run on restart, just type y and restart your daughters computer and Windows will scan all the computers files and repair what it can. Will take couple hours to complete
He gave me worse than that. The first Tibetan to comprehend the Dharma received the teachings in his dreams as Lord Atisha who took the teachings to Tibet from Sumatra couldn't speak Tibetan
Lama Zopa isn't past giving ye a nightmare or two Lookin
Its from our past experience we generally base our perceptions. I now find an understanding the way we react to all events that turn up in our lives, shapes the nature of the ongoing energy. Nothing just happens without course. Depending how we react shapes what later in-turn appears as an outcome.
Holding the view i am the creator of my sufferings, I am responsible for the negative experiences in my life, helps to take away the development of anger, or worse that otherwise just compounds our problems.
I posted on the first page an explanation about dealing with depression give by Lama, the person i studied under. If we don't comprehend our nature (moving energy) the Tibetan Practice called Thong-Len (spelling??) which translates as "thought transformation" then what Lama is saying (I think) would be rather hard to understand.
I think more so for a mother, its perhaps hard to understand the wee bundle of joy, probably seen as part of her body, comes into being has since conception karmas from past lives. We have no way of knowing even what Karmas ourselves have made in the past never lone little bundle of joy...
I disagree with mainstream thinking, i've seen lots of house wives getting there brains burnt off in NZ with electric shock therapy, years ago when the no what they are doing brigade were doing that
Young people are killing themselves and only a handful of experts have the courage to study the views of other races or peoples from another land like Tibet because they all believe in gagaga-land belief system practiced in most western countries
I've made some corrections which i hope better explains
There are two types of meditation first stilling the mind, and the use of analytical meditation to examine in close detail.
Tibetans believe it is impossible to correctly follow the Buddhist path without a qualified guide, a qualified teacher. Working with mind isn't always easy; we can believe any gaga that appears. I am only able to express the subject of the studies I have made, its up to others what they choose to do with there human experience. You can take a horse to water but you can't make it drink. In respect to the recent tragic lost of life in Queensland, while I listened to some of the out pouring grief I found myself contemplating how in the Islands they constantly engage in fishing, killing pigs and the karmas that sowed. Each to there own, I am attempting to offer logic and reason that is used as an antidote to our human sufferings.
