Thanks for the read Loco

RE: Ethnic Cleansing in Afghanistan

My concern is those behind both it all have been trying to set Islam backed by China against the rest...ww3. Just like after the New World order proclaimed prior to ww2.

War and killing is an old fashion activity. The Australia Defence Force is meant to be used to defend Australia, not to repay American and Britain for saving Australia during ww2, which of course was war a funded in the first instance by USA & UK.

I hold the view WW2 in the main in Europe, was mostly fought with Christian back grounds on both sides killing each other. Thats just stupidity, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, America, Britain, Canada and most the other Nato forces supposedly believe in the same god, and here they all are killing each other...its just stupidity...

What people have been brought up to believe isn't necessarily wholesome conducive to or characteristic of physical or moral well-being, just because others before such as our mothers and fathers were sucked into believing something that was clearly morally wrong. Doesn't mean we brothers and sisters of the world community, should just bury our heads in sand, instead keeps doing what this thread is now doing in allowing others to express the sort of views been expressed without personal insult.
I dips my lid to you all and sincerely hope these sorts of thoughts spread

RE: windows 7

RE: Those who don't believe in God or Jesus, why don't you?

Yes I would agree, after an attempt to explain why you don't believe in God or Jesus, all you get in response is why others believe in there delusions. Complete waist of time answering or sharing your view when all that follows is pages and pages of augment supporting the notion of the existence of the so called god or expectations on interpretations on what a guy named Jesus meant or delusions the bible does or does not contain.
Limited by our dualistic minds being nothing more than moving energy, it is quite sad to note most folks posting in this and similar threads, are reacting exactly as you say.
Don’t know why the question was asked in the first place as lady that posted it, appears to belongs to the same concretion that George W did…I’m pretty certain he was full of crap, so please know at least I agree with your prognoses.

RE: Is it the right thing to trial Khalid Shaikh Mohammed,9/11 mastermind, in a civilian court?

They believe in a God. The Moslem's went into India and killed all the Buddhists many many years ago. They follow a view that promotes killing, so they are constantly killing and being killed, they themselves are the only humans that can change that. Be complete waist time talking to them there. However Ahimsa is currently still in place in Southern Lebanon agreed between Israel and the Mullah's, that wasn't an accident...

Some people do try to stop the killing mate

RE: Is it the right thing to trial Khalid Shaikh Mohammed,9/11 mastermind, in a civilian court?

I respect your right to an opinion but not the opinion

RE: Is it the right thing to trial Khalid Shaikh Mohammed,9/11 mastermind, in a civilian court?

Since before Adam was a cowboy humans having the karmas of killing and been killed have been born in those areas. To me its a pity people don't more carefully look into the nature of our human experience more deeply and just maybe the folly of sending our countries sons and daughters into harms way to in essence create the karma of future rebirth with those sorts of karmas simply because people are to pig headed to check up.

I spent thirteen months in Vietnam 67/68 and can only conclude the war was fought to promote religion and steel children in hundreds of thousand to convert. Certainly the reason i thought we went there is a bigger threat today than was then and will be tomorrow, so please use your brains

RE: Is it the right thing to trial Khalid Shaikh Mohammed,9/11 mastermind, in a civilian court?

To me it all seems quite silly really given older Bush lied and started a war against Iraq after someone (the CIA) had earlier supported Hussein to assassinate the then leader of Iraq a Sunni whose family had been installed by the British after WW1 and they used Hussein to contain the Khomeini dud in Iran who had been in exile in France and chucked out the Shara and Bush started a war that killed at least 500-600 thousand Iraq's whatever the number, a lot got killed by members of the coalition of the willing, in a place Moslem's say Mohammed's daughter was born.

Violence leads to more violence whether they wear uniforms or not is a non sense each is as bad as the other and shouldn't cast the first stone...

Anyone that promotes killing in my mind is a completely ignorant fool...they should stop killing right now, all sides of the completely stupid wars on the go should stop killing

RE: Those who don't believe in God or Jesus, why don't you?

Thought you had gone to bed...
I believe our true nature is moving energy carrying the seeds of our tomorrows, Others can call it spirit, however that seems loose to my mind. All sentient beings suffer birth and rebirth, suffer the karma (experience if you like) in consequence the activities of body speech and mind. Each different with energy we cannot see.

RE: Those who don't believe in God or Jesus, why don't you?

robplum: I don’t believe in there being a one, god or creator, its an impossibility. If we carefully deliberate on our own psychical make up we find constantly changing cells, nothing in our being is everlasting at best some minerals like calcium that makes up the bones last a while longer. Our temporary human form is impermanent; likewise our thoughts are ever changing.
I accept a view that proposes I am the creator of my ever-changing tomorrows, not some outside force other than collective karmas. After my experience in Vietnam War I studied Tibetan Buddhism, which places the onus of responsibility onto ones self. Though I found the levels of that notion hard to grasp in hindsight I’ve become more certain indeed it is I that put my hand up to defend NZ from the communist hoards and had responsibility of suffering I involved in. In Tibetan Buddhism its our own self-cherishing that brings metal suffering to our minds, our own actions of body speech and mind that creates tomorrows experiences.

RE: Those who don't believe in God or Jesus, why don't you?

I am only willing to debate in the question, not with some one else's closed mind

Jesus is said to have stated, “oh father why have you forsaken me”!

RE: 911

I don't mind you holding that view, its your right, same as its the right of others to look behind the expressed views that lead to our whole judicial system been completely wrecked by ill informed rubbish pumped into the news media by supporters of mass murder and crimes against humanity on a massive scale.
Its my right to share in this forum with others that appear to share smiler interest in pursuing an interest in who knew what prior to those events that lead to an attack from mad men in a Hollywood fashion on the 11th of September. That you have a greater right than others because your an american is a nonesense

RE: 911

You selling dupe on this site are you mate?

Why don't you read the transcript on that link on what our then Prime Minister had to say who was day before talking to Bush and actually in Washington watching the planes on 11th September (11-9th)

RE: 911

I was just reading through that stuff, thats all, not myself casting dispersions, but thought a read of the second link really interesting, worthwhile checking out i think

RE: Should Mr Obama pull the troops out of Iraq and Afganistan

cheers

RE: Reincarnation: are you a believer?

For some years i studied Tibetan Buddhism, later was appointed director of a temple named Gyalawa Ensapa in NSW Aust.

Reincarnation is the bases of the Dalai Lamas teachings. Understanding why that is, is a bit complicated, however if you very carefully contemplate the true nature of self. You just might deduce self is unfindable. The human form that i call "I" is in a constant flux of change, no part of your human form is solid, every aspect of it is constantly changing and the perception of an "I" is actually a delusion.
Ok you might i say that I am typing this text...meantime during the time its taken to type thus far, most of the cells in body have been replaced, the skin is constantly falling off, hair grows, food is being digested, nails are growing in a constant state of change.

So once we are able to be certain the "I" cannot be found, what then is the true nature of our experience. Tibetans probably say "moving energy" moving energy carrying the the seeds of our tomorrows. That sort of understanding is arrived at having considered the certainty of the laws of cause and affect. That our actions of body speech and mind give certain cause for our future experience.
Without cause nothingless, enlightenment, going beyond the cyclical of rebirth in suffering.

Ok i accept that sort of explanation is really loose, there much to consider to arrive at an understanding what reincarnates. I believe the subtle winds that migrate from moment to moment carrying the seeds of our future experience is whats reincarnating.

RE: UP YOUR'S!

he's looking for a donny brook

RE: Would you believe!!!!

RE: Nobel peace prize

RE: Nobel peace prize

The West Bank situation improved.

RE: Nobel peace prize

Helen Clark was given an interesting appointment in the UN.
Southern Lebanon stopped firing missiles.
The West Bank situation improved.
Iran talking bit more sense.
Nth Korea to.
Our PM emmmmmmmm apologized.

Part of India still occupied.

Nepal fell.

Lot arms went into Kosovo

Anyway likely awarding the noble peace prize made a bit of news...

RE: Nobel peace prize

Oh i don't think so, following a deceleration of war in 2006 for some years now there has been a concerted effort engaged in by a number of men and women, heads of state and mare mortals directed towards peacefully resolving a looming conflict thats had in roots in 1949. In the closely related debate ongoing since 2006 a lot of people have died. In more recent times there appears to have been major changes taken place, however the process is still ongoing and i think the award was made consistent with that process...

RE: Nobel peace prize

I didn't say that Kizzy
You have said that not me

RE: Nobel peace prize

long as we dont see ww3 then so be it

RE: Nobel peace prize

Oh i think if you listen to what Obama had to say, you might deduce he was accepting the prize on behalf of all the men and women who have for some time been working towards world peace and he saw in the prize been given him that was done to assist Barrack Obama to continue that process

RE: I need some help here

If is compounded by painful crack at base of your toe you might have picked up Tinea which is easy to catch and is often picked up in communal areas, such as public showers. It usually develops between the toes, causing the skin to become red, moist and itchy.

in the army we used Jensons Violet to treat that

RE: I need some help here

soak the foot for 10-15 minutes then gently rub the hard skin back with a file or pumice stone

purchase some padding from a Podiatrist to place over the area to protect it

use a good quality moisturising cream to keep the skin soft

avoid any tight footwear

if the problem persists, see a Podiatrist immediately

avoid using any over the counter products that burns the hard skin

this seems to be pretty good advice
