I get lots of sun riding around on the bike (motorcycle) and put a bit of sunblock on if I remember. On the 27th of July I rode 4 hours into the afternoon sun and sure looked like a freakin' lobster but I have a medicated salve that used to be called "Man and Beast" that turned it into a tan in three days. Good thing I had that as I was about to go on a week's ride and would get lots of sun. Usually by the end of summer I have a dark tan on my face, neck and arms but the rest of me looks like a chicken (English ruddy skin...ewwww). I would never use a tanning salon...so unhealthy.
I heartily agree...they are some of the bravest people on this earth. My ex had a chemical imbalance all of her life and was in therapy being treated with every drug known...nothing worked but for a short time and always the same side effects...weight gain. For someone with a distorted self image to begin with she persevered for years until she couldn't go on with it. She (under the doctor's care) weened herself off of the drugs and while she was finding out who she was under all that crap, she found a book which helped her to understand her problem. She was allergic to processed foods (wheat, sugar etc) and when she stopped eating them and ate what was recommended in their proper proportions, she lost 50 pounds and her mood stabilized. It was wonderful to see her so at peace. All through the ordeal she was the bravest person I have ever seen and tried to shield me from the worst of it. Good luck to you in your recovery and hope you continue to get better.
My hat is off to you brother...it's the effort more than anything that is appreciated. Awareness and your level of caring make you a very strong individual. Best of luck to you.
My original purpose for being here was to find that allusive person with whom I had chemistry and common interests...mission accomplished to an extent that surpasses my dreams. She is wonderful and our future looks bright and promising...our present isn't bad either
Now I am here for the forums and the very interesting and terrific people that I've found here...it is kind of addicting. This is all understood by my mate and I really do enjoy the interchange of ideas and experiences. Good luck to you all, it really does work.
Why...the Blue Jays of course, if you don't support the home team it's time to move
Not gonna hold my breath for a repeat of the early 1990's tho as O I don't think we can afford to hire another World Series team. This current club has some real heart and raw talent but we need good coaching more than anything. Always hate it when we try and play long ball with Detroit
It is a balancing of experience...if you steal from someone then Karma will give you the experience of knowing what it is like to be stolen from. You can create good Karma as well by doing a good deed for someone (but it works better if you don't go around bragging about it). Some people are so busy building bad Karma that takes lifetimes to repay until they finally catch on to the way it works. IMHO
One of the strong points of this site is that by posting in the forums, others can get insight into your personality. Instead of just a picture and a profile, posting in the forums is a great way for us to get to know you better. Besides...they are a lot of fun (mostly) but use your better judgement to weed out the heated ones. I have been fortunate here to meet a wonderful lady and she got to know me in just this fashion...good luck.
aka "mid life crisis"...I've always believed "better a new motorcycle than a new girlfriend". Sadly a very common occurrence though and devastating to those left behind.
You've had lots of good advice here and I hope you are feeling better about yourself. You were a victim but you don't have to remain one. Go and do something really nice for yourself and enjoy life again.
Cheer up pretty lady...we all make mistakes and none of us are perfect. I have always thought you to be a caring person since I've been here. Better days ahead.
RE: Need some clearing up here
Eager...
