Do any other posters like to suntan at the beach? I live on a lake so Im usually out there a lot swimming, boating and getting a "real" tan..I never use tanning salons..Does anyone else suntan while going to the beach? or do you avoid it? I know silly thread but I was curious if other members like to suntan.

I do like to suntan, but in moderation. I don't like sunburns. I'll spend no more than two hours in the sun at the lake since I usually get bored. I can spend all day at the beach though!

you look nice too without a tan..I dont tan in the winter months because I dont use tanning salons. been told i look fine without one too.. do you go to the beach? or like to swim? sometimes the cool water keeps from getting faint from the sun.

I don't do neither when I go to the lake. I usually go with my kids, and when I don't go with them, I just bring a book to read, take a couple of dips in the lake, then head home. I guess I'm more of a beach person. I can spend all day at the beach---listen to the waves, swim in the ocean, play volleyball on the sand, and just stay there until sunset.

The lake is walking distance from where I live, and the sand beach at the ocean is about 25 minutes by car. The parking there drives me nuts hahaha.

I do miss jet skiing, but I don't have one anymore.

Go the beach...but sit in the shade. Would rather go to the beach in the evening, when the sun is setting and take a dip then. (but honey...I analyse lake, beach, river water...if you knew what I know...you really wouldn't want to be in that unless you shower after)

I avoid the sun like a vampire, but love beaches when its windy, raining, ice-cold, or down right stormy.
