RE: The Death Penalty

The costs will be the same...simples.

Hence my comment of the flawed costs. Yes, I know it happens and it is a current system, but those that use those figures argue against the death penalty because of those figures.

What they do not mention was if there was no appeal system, then the playing fields would be level, the costs would be EXACTLY the same.

Ergo, if you are banged to rights, you get no appeal and that reduces the costs.

Simples.

RE: What shall a female do if she is lonely and single??

Any three of the 100 or so that you have lass.wink

RE: The Death Penalty

Ugly indeed me dear!

RE: The Death Penalty

Just the cost of the knife or stones..which are free laugh

RE: The Death Penalty

See my post above too! If you are 1000000% banged to rights...you don't dserve an appeal.

The reason your costs are flawed is because nigh on every person on death row WILL appeal, without a shadow of doubt. Those with a life sentence rarely appeal, that is why those figures are flawed old son.

D. THE COST OF LIFE WITHOUT PAROLE VS THE DEATH PENALTY

Many opponents present, as fact, that the cost of the death penalty is so expensive (at least $2 million per case?), that we must choose life without parole ("LWOP") at a cost of $1 million for 50 years. Predictably, these pronouncements may be entirely false. JFA estimates that LWOP cases will cost $1.2 million - $3.6 million more than equivalent death penalty cases.

RE: Are there any women out there that are living a truly Christian life?

Mmmmmm.....you called this person a fool.

RE: Are there any women out there that are living a truly Christian life?

Well said love...

RE: The Death Penalty

I was way off the mark! They can be and are turned down.

RE: The Death Penalty

Yup...naturally, there care cases where they do appeal, but many are also turned down. I BELIEVE, but not 100% sure, a death sentence appeal is not turned down or cannot be turned down?

Research time!!

RE: The Death Penalty

Well of course it's cheaper Vinny...one less mouth to feed if he's dead! As you said, others have said it, so they can also see sensible reasoning.

Sorry mate, but your post of the costs is rather flawed in as much as you have not taken out the appeal costings of a death sentence.

RE: The Death Penalty

Of course they do, but the 'do gooders' fail to mention that in their presentations.

A trial for murder where the sentence is life or death costs exactly the same...it has to, even the dumbest can see that.

A life sentence is normally or usually without an appeals...there is no need!

RE: Are there any women out there that are living a truly Christian life?

May I suggest that you search for this lady on a Jewish dating site then? I am sure one must exist..in fact:
