The Nuclear bomb is not a defensive weapon, it is a weapon of mass destruction. In my opinion it should be contained to the countries which have it now. Although it's a shame it was discovered in the first place. In the volatile middle east there is more likelyhood it would be used in anger and the ensuing holocaust would be too terrible to contemplate. I am not siding with any side with these comments, as I believe the unleashing of nuclear weapons would lead to destruction on such a massive scale, that the world would be changed. IMO

To be honest, I think there should be a double standard in that Israel should be allowed to have them and Iran cannot. To begin with, Israel is absolutely surrounded with their backs to the sea, by enemies that have stated they should be wiped off the face of the earth.

The United States and Russia realised the massive consequences to their nations and have arranced for the survival of key personnel. I fear that in the middle east it would result in total annihalation of the countries involved. Homever I don't believe the Western Allies would allow this to happen.
