RE: Should Israel to allow Palestine be an independent state?

Resolution 181 was ILLEGAL.

As my above videos show - UN Resolution 181 was not LEGALLY BINDING as it contradicted the San Remo LEAGUE OF NATIONS MANDATE.

The fact that the arabs were given a chance to take up Resolution 181 and blew that chance shows they never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity.

Let them make a state in Jordan. Israel is for the Jewish People and that was the reason for the Mandate. To reconstitute the state for the Jews.

Arabs just want to wipe the Jews out. They have hated the Jews and many Jews had to convert to Islam over the centuries by force. It is Islam or nothing. They want Islam to dominate the world.

Face it you mohamed-lovers - it ain't going to happen.

RE: Should Israel to allow Palestine be an independent state?

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT FACTS FOR ALL CONCERNED ON THIS THREAD:

RE: what are you listening to now?

RE: What films have you seen lateley and what do you recommend?

War Horse, The Artist and the Iron Lady were all brilliant, and I have just returned home from seeing The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel which is great too. Very easy-going and brilliant acting from the best the UK has to offer. At £10.60 a ticket I am fussy as to what I see, and the above haven't disappointed.

RE: what pizza store is better?

I am not sure what it is about pizza that makes a person fast, but I could do with increasing my jogging time, so I will have to eat more!!!

RE: Mickey's Weather Thread

For the first winter I can remember I think we may get away with not having any snow at all this winter. At least in winters past the minimum we would have is an overnight dusting which had melted by the morning, but this year we may not have any here in London, although of course it is still relatively early to say that. But in all other years we have had some by this time in January. I hate the snow and ice and thankfully now I work from home (and can get Tesco/Asda online) I don't have to step outside if icy.

RE: what pizza store is better?

Pizza Hut because to eat in you can have unlimited trips to the salad bar with any meal for no extra charge and that includes lots of different types of salads, lots of types of dressings, bread sticks and Dorito-type chips and with a jug of water you can feel stuffed for just £7.00 (US$11). Not that I make a habit of it, but for a nice cheap meal in good surroundings Pizza Hut wins every time.

RE: violation of the First Geneva Convention

Because I don't want this thread to go into a Israel/arab conflict topic I have just emailed you details of my youtube channel where you will find all you need to know.

RE: violation of the First Geneva Convention

Rubbish - I was replying to post number 40.

RE: violation of the First Geneva Convention

Hi John - really your sources are not the best. A couple of days ago you posted a video stating that muslims and Jews pray the same and I pointed out your video was flawed. Then just now you state that video was from the occupied territories. You ought to know for certain that the video is not from the occupied terrorities but that video was from Gaza - which of course has not been under Israeli rule since 2005 so your video stating Gaza is occupied in 2009 is flawed too. I have many many videos which show the madness of lies, deceit etc against Israel, and really if you want to know more, just message me and I will point you in the right direction, but if not it would be best to make sure your videos do not show misinformation.

RE: violation of the First Geneva Convention

I think the Israelis are restrained considering what they have to cope with on a daily basis. But yes, of course, it is an ongoing cycle. However whereas Israel's enemies actually target civilians which is a direct violation of the Geneva Convention, plus they also allow young children to fire weapons, use human shields, fire from mosques and schools and homes, Israel only targets the areas where the rockets are coming from, and indeed pre-warns with mass SMS messages and leaflet drops before a pin-point targeting campaign. War is Hell - however by the dirty tactics of Hamas the hell goes on. Hamas has no qualms about the human shield issue. In fact they are proud because it makes Israel look bad if children are in the way once a pre-warning of a boming mission is carried out and started. Hamas plus other similar factions in the area are to blame for this mayhem.

RE: violation of the First Geneva Convention

RE: violation of the First Geneva Convention

That video is NOT from the, what you call "occupied territories." Plus don't forget Israel has suffered an average of two rocket attacks even in the year 2011 every single day. The madness still goes on. Israel's enemies are prize violators in the first degree of breaking Geneva Convention Articles. If they declare a ceasefire and keep it longer than the average of a couple of hours then that's a start to peace.

RE: ASPARTAME IS POISON!!!

HL - in my opinion people should not rid their medicine cupboards of these drugs until they have seen their doctor for an alternative medication.

RE: ASPARTAME IS POISON!!!

I am so used to the taste - it's hard to give it up. Tea and coffee are not nice, in my view, without sweetner and being a type 2 diabetic, well-controlled, I am reluctant to take sugar. Actually someone I know who was a child in the WW2 years says that the diet here in the UK with the rationing was actually quite healthy and tooth decay during the rationing years was rarer. I think there was a Study done that with UK food rationing it was a healthy diet.

RE: ASPARTAME IS POISON!!!

Medications are sour without artificial sweetness. We ought to get used to medication tasting foul - bitter bitter makes you better is an old adage I remember regarding medicines. I must admit to using Sweetex in my tea and coffee, but only one, in a half pint mug. I don't eat products that have lots of artificial stuff anyway. So therefore if the pharmaceutical industry changed to make the products less 'tasty' and we made our own mind up about what we put in our supermarket cart then we would be a lot healthier. But of course sweetness in food is addictive. We are more informed nowadays about lots of things, because of the internet and media, and it is up to us to take control of our lives. You are what you eat as the saying goes.

RE: Summer Holidays....

Hi all wave

I had my honeymoon in various B&Bs in Dorset and Devon. Simply the best part of the UK isn't it? My marriage broke down, but that was not Dorset and Devon's fault!!!

If we could guarantee good summer weather the UK would be wonderful but I hate the rain. I need to escape London this summer. I have no interest in the Olympics and living near the Olympic area it's going to be hell here. What a waste of money. Soz - I am in a grumpy mood seeing the state the UK is in and all that money wasted on opening and closing ceremonies etc.

RE: netflix

Hi John, how you doing. Yes of course music too although I like to get into a bit of a debate with people on youtube on political stuff, but of course the music is great although I don't have my various musical playlists on general display to others due to copyright. I love youtube and of course as I said, once a person has an account it is a whole new world of shared interests in music, movies or hobbies etc. I hate the new change the friends merging with subscriptions, but it hasn't put me off youtube at all. It really is the best way to interact with like-minded people and I am sure you would agree that making a youtube account is highly recommended. Of course a person does not necessarily need to add videos and can simply use it to interact with others and watch their videos.

RE: yes i did win that much money

I would hate to win really big on the lottery - by that I mean several millions. Enough to upgrade my circumstances would be enough. Health is far more important. What good is money if one doesn't have good health.

RE: netflix

OP - youtube is great. You can create an account which is very easy to do, and subscribe to users who you find usually download movies you want to watch. There is also a 'feed' continuously updated of new uploads from who you subscribe to. There is a messaging service, commenting facilities etc. I spend most of my spare time on there. It is well worth making an account on.

RE: Something To Share With You....The September 11th Memorial

I am saying that if I can go somewhere which could be potentially a danger to all then yes, I don't mind being scanned or searched. I wouldn't avoid anywhere because of the inconvenience of being searched. Unfortunately as I said, it is a sign of the times.

RE: Something To Share With You....The September 11th Memorial

Hunter - it is not just the murderous act that was, it is also the threat there is currently and would-be threats. The world is a different place now and we too here in the UK are on moderate to high alert. There is no excuse for complacency and letting the guard down even years after terrorists events.

RE: Something To Share With You....The September 11th Memorial

I am able to view that video (here in the UK). What a lovely memorial feature.

RE: wave

People believe what they want to believe, and hear what they want to hear. The cynicism of some really astounds me. Ok, some may be ignorant but to deny something outright is what they do because they always believe their way is the right way.

RE: wave

Wow that seems amazing Smoky. There is so much more to life than what we know isn't there.
